Acid attacks in the UK

So what changed, how did this type of assault creep into the UK, is it because the gun laws are so tough that people have developed ways to increase the level of violence.

There has been a surge in knife crime too.

I think that we are getting so angry with each other now due to eight years of Austerity, Brexit, the corrosive effect of the right wing tabloids, Breitbart, and Kremlin hybrid warfare that more and more people just want to hurt others.

The findings include:

The suspect was male 74% of the time and victim was male 67% of the time.

Just 6% of suspects were Asian.

Only one so-called ‘honour’ attack was recorded in 15 years.

Four out of five violent offences never reached trial.

The figures appear to contradict a belief that a relative majority of acid attacks involve the South Asian diaspora.

I wasn't aware that it was perceived that south Asians were involved in a relative majority of acid attacks. Although now that an Afghan has been involved I can see the tabloids ramping it up to front page news just to rubber stamp it.
