i really am confused which pads he is using, are the Mids or are they Puma.

i ask because they are the nicest pads i have seen any of our players wear. Interestingly Hafeez and Taufeeq don't use the same pads even though they are signed with Mids.

They're Pumas dressed as MIDS for sponsorship purposes. Those ones in the bottom photo are his wicket keeping pads.

He got them off Brendan McCullum.

For a second I thought Mids might have replicated FXT style pads. It would have been nice if they had as they'd probably be more affordable.

I really want to get my hands on a pair of Puma pads but they're just too pricey for my liking.

It would be nice if they replicate the design as you stated it would be much more affordable but I think they can not fully copy them as I believe they are copyright design.

Yup, they would have to change a few things here and there but I'm confident they'd be able to maintain the key selling point of a separated top hat. The FXT pads really shine when running, especially the Iridium model with two straps.

Adidas tried doing similar to Puma by having a separated top hat.

In fact, some shops here like Khan Sports have there own brand pads known as 'KS' and his pads are a bit like Adidas where the top hat is separated.

I must say the pads on ProDirect, Calibre FXT AamerM Bhai bought are of great deal considering you once said you don't get hit by customs in Canada, however, I'm not sure of shipping of ProDirect.

Actually just did check out on ProDirect the shipping is coming to £10.95 for pads which is too good to be true but I don't think ProDirect change the price on invoice once they have deducted the payment. I must say the shipping is like icing on the cake :))

Yea, they've reduced the shipping price on most items. Ten quid for shipping is a steal; now if only the bats went on sale!

I want another $50 gem! LOL

Yaar the shipping is making deals very good, for a bat even shipping is £10.95 and even for a pair of gloves.

Very tempting shipping prices.

Rizzy Bhai, do you remember if you had to pay customs for your package? And what do they use, Canada Post or Courier?

I didn't have to pay customs tax on any of my parcels. Usually Canada Customs only taxes items valued $150+ unless you get unlucky.

You can't choose between Canada Post or Courier service. If they ship via Royal Mail, it'll come through Canada Post and Parcel Force will forward it to DHL in Canada.

As a general rule, Canada Post is much less likely to be hit with duty than courier services.

I disagree with you to some extent, I have gotten hit by customs with parcel being less than $150 value. If you are sending as a gift then anything over $60 gets hit by customs and duty and for personal items it is $40 (I believe).

Actually it is other way around, you are likely to get hit by courier services rather than Canada Post.

With DHL I have gotten hit by customs where the declared price have been less than $60 but broker fee etc was what I had to pay.

You're right, $40 is the "maximum" before duty is imposed but I've shipped much more than that and been fine. It's really a matter of luck and often the time of year as well.

That's what I said! LOL. You're much less likely to be charged duty by Canada Post, the disadvantage however is that it can be slower than a courier service.

Bilkul so it is really up to luck one can say.

Haha LOL :)) Yaar that reply was in morning when I was still half sleep :)) Sorry for confusion.

Actually you know what Royal Mail/Canada post is not that slow either. Before there used to take more than a week (like 7-8 business days) now it takes like 4-5 business days.

DHL took 2 days and now it is next day lol

Yup, it's luck. If you order from ProDirect, the shipping charge of 10 pounds is added on for every item so order all of your items separately, that way you're less likely to hit customs.

Ah okay, didn't knew 10 Pounds is for each item.

Will see if I can get any bargain
