I am a British pakistani born and bred in the UK. A few years ago my mum made me a NICOP card (I didn't even know about this/can't remember) making me a pakistani citizen

For personal reasons I would rather not have dual nationality as it's a pain filling out forms/ travelling to different countries where you have to give details and show proof of any other nationality you hold.

I done a little research and found that a NICOP isn't even that relevant to me. The card that suits my situation best is called a pakistani origin card (POC). Online it said this is the card that people who have pakistani parents/grandparents should apply for. It gives you visa free travel etc (not that I visit that often anyway).

My qs is that is it possible to cancel a NICOP and replace it with a POC? I have looked online but can't find any information regarding that. Thanks for any help. I really appreciate it.

you probably need to renounce your Pakistani citizenship
