What's new

Afghanistan [145/6] beat Bangladesh [144/6] by one run in the third T20I to win series 3-0

Mushfiqur - the naagin couldn't keep his cool in the last over. Was there any need to go after Rashid off the first ball?

Well done Afghanistan. Rashid true champion. At this rate BD May not be able to beat in the near future on spinning pitches. No shame in losing to a superior team. Team full of talents.

Afghans win the series 3 - 0

I guess Bangladesh have been whitewashed.

Who is this Indian commentator?

Ajit somebody?

AFG barely qualified for the WC. In fact, it wasn't even in their hands. Had Nepal lost, AFG would not have even made the final 6 of an Associate tournament.

Rahmat Shah only has a ODI strike rate of 70. By comparison Tamim Iqbal who bats to slowly for the modern game has a SR of 80.

If and buts.

Afghanistan messed up and then came back and won against Ireland and WI twice. Won the qualifier. You must remember the full story.

I didn't watch a single delivery of this series.

Can anyone let me know, whether the Bangladesh fans at the ground are crying or not?

No but somebody needs to tweet to mushfiqir what happiness is.....👿☻.3 ~ 0 TO Afghanistan

where is this happening?

if its in bangladesh, then really embarassing to lose a home series like this

Big result for Afghanistan cricket.

The more competitive nations the better for the sport.

Steve Rhodes has a job on his hands to rejuvenate this Bangladesh team that's had a torrid run.

Dehradun, India. It's Afghanistan's home for now.

It was Afghanistan's home series and India is their adopted home just like UAE for Pakistan.

Dehradun hasn't seen any games ever, not even IPL - so 25,000 turned up every night.

Good crowds on all three match days. Both the teams were supported. Rashid Khan is very popular after his IPL performance.

What a series by Afghanistan team. From being almost on the verge of not going to round 2 of 2019 WC qualifiers to whitewashing a full ICC member. Incredible journey

Great play Bangladesh.Congrats to Afgans our muslim brothers.

Great Play??

When did this happen, in this match or in this series ever??

Yes, I didn't watch a single delivery, I accept, but despite following on cricinfo never did I find Bangladesh being ahead, apart from 5 fours in the penultimate over.

This meantlity of Bangladesh fans should stop. When won, we are Second best in Asia. When lost, Great play.

Pakistan Thrashed Eng, in TEST, in all three departments, in England, at Lord's.

But when lost at Leeds, Mickey said, We SURRENDERED. Sarfraz said, We didn't bat well. Abbas said, Yes, I won MOS, but it would have been good had we won the series.

Here you despite losing to Afghanistan of all teams, in all three matches, say well played.

And Shakib says, Conditions suited Afghanistan well, as if he's coming from North Pole. Loser mentality from the national captain. Alas, what else can you expect from a person who backed out from the test series against SA, when his team and Nation needed him.

And lastly, Muslim brothers. I think that's the reason Bangladesh gave Eid gift to Afghanistan, otherwise which team has the strength to defeat the 2nd best Asian side.

Congrats to Afghan.

@ BD fans, you keep saying that you lost to this team simply because of the format and how good AFG are. This is true but is that sugar coating how devastated you are or is that just your way of dealing with the defeat because at the end of the day you were smashed to pieces by a team new to the international level, not only did you lose; you lost 3-0 in this format. It is beyond me how any BD fan can come to terms with this or develop an explanation because there really is no excuse in any case. Humiliating  Am ashamed of BD, very very ashamed.

I don't care what any of you arm chair critics have to say but BD should not have lost 3-0

When we win you want us to bash our team.
When we win if we praise our team it becomes chest thumping.
When we loose any criticize by us is overlooked as if no Bangladeshi ever criticize their team.
When many neutral posters praising today's game of cricket you want that we Bangladeshis shouldn't do it.

It is never possible to satisfy guys like you and I never attempt it. Can you say me how we should react after a win or loose and why you are making mountain out of molehill from a simple comment?

To be fair, Shakib and Mushfiq both said Afghanistan were favorites before the series started. Hasn't the criticism of BD always been they are unjustifiably arrogant?

Can't really be rejuvenated if they we never really that good to begin with.

Again this is a loser mentality.

How can the Captain and the senior say that the opposition are favourites, before even starting the series?

Did u know what Ireland said before the test against Pakistan?

They said, "We are not playing just to make up the numbers".

In simple words, Say you will try to win the series, give your best, and accept your mistakes, if you don't win.

But what did Shakib do?

Said Afghanistan are favourites, before the series, and now saying conditions suited Afghanistan well.

No one will stop if you praise your team. But 2nd best asian side is not praising, but...

I never stopped you from praising the game, But my question was, how was this great play by Bangla? They did second to none, in this series.
But if you say great play, just because they came all the way from Bangladesh to Dehradun, and spent time on the ground, then I am sorry, my standards are not that low to appreciate

Fair enough. So how about Mushfiq during the 2012 Asia Cup when he said they would target India's bowling attack because it was the weakest in the tournament?

I don't see anything wrong with either statement. You're just being fussy like a guy who doesn't want the meat or veggie option on a menu.

Sorry bro. I am off now. I don't know whether you know about me or not. I don't spend lot of time on forums, I keep myself limited to 5 - 6 posts, when active. Above that, I feel I am wasting time by arguing.

I think I have already crossed that limit for today..Haha

It doesn't make any difference to me what others think about me. I just gave my opinions, and u can have urs.

Anyways all the Best.

I watched the second t20I, the stadium was half filled at max. The first and third t20I showed good crowds.
