What's new

Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe by 4 wickets in 2nd ODI

We now have some UAE born players in setup and HK have most of the players under 30 in their team.In that sense NZ should also be relegated because most of their players have Scottish and British ancestry

All australian and New Zealanders have UK ancestry, whats your point ?
UAE team has 3 UAE born players out of 15, most of them are 35 plus and i see no future for UAE cricket.

You are talking about that from WC.Now our squad is changed. We have several UAE born players now.Not All NZ and Australians have British ancestry.Look at their rugby teams

I have no idea where you taking this convo, native population of down under is 3% and New zealand is 14.5%. Remaining population in both countries have european ancestry.
ALL i am saying is, UAE has majority of expats playing meaning who emigrated to UAE for work and other purposes they were not born in UAE. They have started playing cricket for fun, most of them have a job so they are not pros. System full of expats have no future, UAE wont have a future until ya habibis start playing cricket Not the pseaudo arab/pakis ;)
You are comparing apple with oranges.

You can't play for "fun" and get to the team unless you are super talented. You still have to work hard to get in to the team. There are stories of Indian and Pakistani immigrants never playing hardball cricket walking into cricket academy asking to "try out" getting bounced and leaving with broken arms and most of the time laughed at. If associate teams can do decent vs players who play cricket just for living, imagine what they can do if they don't have to wake up, go to work, take care of family and practice 2 hours after work ?. It is not easy as you think, in some countries people are citizens, they have taken oaths to represent Canada and whatever countries so they are exactly representation of their country.

Congrats, improving everyday and hopefully will soon become regular team in International cricket.
