Shahzad's technique isn't good enough against full member bowling attacks. He's too loose and doesn't really have a defence. He'd be fine opening in T20s but in ODIs he should drop down the order and play as a finisher as Afghanistan showed the other day they struggled to hit big at the end which is why i'm also surprised Gulbadin Naib isn't in the squad unless he's injured.

Well Najibullah is keen to run half the time but Sadiq refused to budge, now Stanikzai will come in where the runs will completely drop, this is by no means special bowling ,terrible batting by The Afghan senior players so far and why so many fans were upset at these team selections. nobody wanted stanikzai, sadiq in the side, but here we go. Well this is how teams new in the international scene play. You should have seen how SL used to play in the 80s. Lots of tuk tuk players. Things improve with time just dont end up like Bangladesh . You are right about the slow torture though

Happens because of less exposure in the big stage compared to IRE and BAN. They should just forget about the pressure of playing in big stage and just go out and play like they do in associate level tournaments.
