Bangladesh has won the toss and will bowl first.

Afghanistan have brought in Hamid Hassan and Karim Sadiq in place of Dawlat and Noor Ali
Bangladesh bring Arafat Sunny in Place of injured Mashrafe Mortaza
 
Pakistan Under 19 final plus Aussies Vs SA.

Bringing in Sadiq could be a good thing, he is a hitter, so will go berserk from the word go, hopefully
 
they shouldn't have dropped dawlat as he was bowling brilliantly and noor ali was looking good in the last match. bad decision and i'm not in favour of these rotational policies in tournaments
 
Dropping Dawlat and Noor Ali was stupid, half asleep so just realized that is exactly what happened, this management is thick
 
I just hope Afghanistan don't beat us too bad today and destroy all our confidence. I think I may need to buy new underwear.
 
Very impressed with Afghanistan's bowling the other day. If their bats can put up a 240+ total it will take some getting for Bangla.

It is actually worrying how bad Shahzad has gotten, when he first hit the scene he helped chase 450 something against Canada by making a very stable 250 or something like that, its actually not a good thing for Afghanistan, they look to him to make quick starts.
 
anyone know why cricinfo has to delay the score by 15 minutes

how about Sadiq and Noor opening , Shahzad down the order you cant afford to lose early wicket like this every time
 
Who's tuk-tuking better? Karim Sadiq or the overhyped Sami Aslam for the Pakistan U19s?
 
I would like to see Najibullah at 3 because he is able to rotate strike and hit when needed, Karim putting pressure on him here though. The younger players are good, the seniors are clearly well past their limit here lol
 
Shahzad's technique isn't good enough against full member bowling attacks. He's too loose and doesn't really have a defence. He'd be fine opening in T20s but in ODIs he should drop down the order and play as a finisher as Afghanistan showed the other day they struggled to hit big at the end which is why i'm also surprised Gulbadin Naib isn't in the squad unless he's injured.

A mystery we all want answered, but only a few days ago his young daughter passed away :( so he probably would not have played
 
A very cringeworthy innings from Sadiq so far :)) Just play his natural game, instead of going at this rate, guy is blatantly trying to play for his position here
 
Gazi should have just left that, he hits it hard :)) but to his luck his only good shot was still a dot ball :))

Well Najibullah is keen to run half the time but Sadiq refused to budge, now Stanikzai will come in where the runs will completely drop, this is by no means special bowling ,terrible batting by The Afghan senior players so far and why so many fans were upset at these team selections. nobody wanted stanikzai, sadiq in the side, but here we go. They get picked because of their seniority status

Ah that's understandable then. He's one of the Afghan players i really rate so disappointing not to see him.
 
Najibullah must be cursing his luck :facepalm: batting with Sadiq and now Stanikzai :facepalm: none of them will run, will force him to hit big and regularly. Pathetic selections by the management, would have loved to see Shahidi in thisteam
 
Stanikzai refuses to take an easy two, pathetic player, will try to make a selfish 50 here and waste all the deliveries again.
 
Gazi is a hack anyway and blessing in disguise. He has been predictable lately and bowling way too short. AFG are badly struggling.
 
There you go Najibullahs mind was a complete mess due to the idiotic actions of Stanikzai the delivery before. Pathetic sending the kid into bat with such negative and pathetic players at the other end.
 
They really need to learn how to rotate the strike. I think Nabi should bat higher up, he's wasted at 6.
 
Bangladesh must target a bonus-point win here. The legend Najibullah bowled!
 
The only good batsman left here is Nabi. Mangal is alright but with Stanikzai there I am not expecting anything substantial for the bowlers to chase.
 
I don't follow Afghanistan too closely but i'd say their best XI would be Mangal, Noor, Rahmat, Nabi, Shaidi, Shehzad, Gulbadin, Shenwari, Hamid, Shapoor, Hamza.
 
Common Afghanistan. At least score 180 to make a game out of it. After all, you are better than Bangladesh :afridi

Would Drop Shapoor for Dawlat but yeah that is relatively solid, Would include Najibullah in that team though, seems to be the only player who has made runs for them recently *Qualifiers, vs Pakistan in the t20 and looked like the only player today who wanted to make runs urgently.

Stanikzai will stay in the wicket in case wickets are tumbling. He is your rock :misbah. Will give Mangal and Nabi full license in the end overs to go for shots. :umarakmal:msd

Well this is how teams new in the international scene play. You should have seen how SL used to play in the 80s. Lots of tuk tuk players. Things improve with time just dont end up like Bangladesh :shakib. You are right about the slow torture though :yk
 
Many people criticized Mangal but he is much better than Sadiq and Stanikzai, whenever I see him play he always scores, and I see nothing wrong with him as a batsman. Plays very sensible. Stanikzai is overly sensible :facepalm:

But they have a lot of hitters, beats me as to why they are so submissive, Ireland have a better bowling attack than Bangladesh and they play them with ease, without fear, I think it is the level of match syndrome. Afraid and do not know what to do.
 
Mnagal is batting with positive intent. Good to see. I wish he succeeds. Just dont wish him too much success against India though considering how bad our bowling is :nehra

Happens because of less exposure in the big stage compared to IRE and BAN. They should just forget about the pressure of playing in big stage and just go out and play like they do in associate level tournaments.
 
As if they dropped Noor Ali who played some delightful strokes in the last game! :facepalm
 
Batting with this bore has so many downsides, but now has to up his game when the captain comes into bat, every player has done something rash when batting with him, guy is too busy growing a paedophile moustache as opposed to trying to play cricket. Loser

Why am I criticizing Stanikzai so much? The guy is well capable of hitting big big sixes, but is refusing to do so because he is mindful of his average, very selfish guy.
 
Mushfiqur needs to attack more. He is not putting any pressure on the Afghan batsmen rather just waiting for them to commit mistakes.

Misbah is a quality player, Stanikzai is a joke, due to his slow nature, everybody around him must hit, hence getting out doing something stupid, great there goes NABI trying to add more urgency, Asghar needs to score big here now, this is his fault along with Sadiq.
 
Nabi gone. Last hope for Afghanistan. Now Mushy needs to attack and finish off Afghanistan for 130 max.
