Someone in pointed that pallekele has the highest amount of turn for the sl spinners.so its not going to be easy to score if pak lost openers quickly.

If we lose toss and bowls first even the thin chances will evaporate. We won't chase fast against Lankan spinners

Only option is to somehow get a score batting first then hope spinners can cash in second innings

Pak has only 10% chance of qualifications imo

I hope pak doesn't do a bng against afg in last t20 wc .bng were too timid to chase the modest score for a semis spot and lost the match ultimately.they should treat not qualified to semis is as good as a loss.

There is no chance.

We will be going for it for sure.

Most of the careers of these players are on the line lol they have to play for themselves and their futures.

Problems in pak is that its all about optics.players know that at max they will be taken out for 1 or 2 series but they will be back.Agha may have the issue of losing captiancy and player spot but not others.every other old player is already ousted atleast once and came back like rats.

They need to chase in around 13.4 overs. Not 160, lol
Guys what he means to say is any thing srilanka scores between100-120 in best case scenario for pakistan, Chasing that in 13 overs is equivalent to chasing 160 in 20 overs, And if srilanka sores more its gets more and more difficult

This scenario for qualifications rarely work.

I remember India's Super 8's match vs South Africa in 2012 T20 World Cup in Colombo, India had to beat South Africa by 40 odd runs to make semis or chase in 14-15 overs, India opted to bat first made 151 & had to restrict South Africa to 110 to qualify, India ended up winning the match by just 1 run. India won the match, but Pakistan & Australia qualified for the semis.
South Africa chose to field in that match. India wanted to chase if I remember correctly.
