Shehzad scored a fantastic 46 runs against the Rajshahi Kings in the chase of 125 today. Had a great partnership of 90 runs with Marlon Samuels.

He is now the highest Pakistani run scorer in the BPL and has done so only 7 innings.

His stats in the BPL so far.

Innings: 7
Runs Scored: 247
Highest Score: 61
Average: 41.16
SR: 118.18

His SR is good and his average is exception for T20's.

The only thing I would say he should look to convert his half centuries into a bigger score and push for three figures.

Nevertheless - been in great form so far!

Lol "exceptional" strike rate of 118 in near domestic level t20.

Oh dear, that's a barely acceptable strike rate in Odis these days

That does tell you something though, doesn't it?

Just like Akmals, that's the league he belongs to.

If his SR is 120 in BPL , no wonder he strikes at 70 in international cricket.

lol this is Pathetic strike rate

in this mickey mouse leage it should be 135 min

I have not watched BPL but the strike rate of 118 can be good if pitches have low bounce. But again, I do not know what is the strike rate of other batsmen in BPL.

With that strike rate he is doing more bad than good for his team. Pathetic strike rate, hope he is kept away from LO formats.

thanks for proving how crap he is even in a mickey mouse second rate domestic league.

:)))
msb314 duuude why'd you have to create this thread and bring the pathetic Shehzad performances to the limelight?

Nobody of us knew how poor his stats were, thanks for bringing them up. :srini

I hope now you have an idea how poor of a bat he is. Hey, forget it - can you even call him a batsman?

When the word exceptional strike rate was mentioned u was thinking it will be around 180 not 118

He can have a strike rate of 150 in that league still that won't make any difference. Inzi had already said that he has to perform in pakistani domestics.

I thought you were a Shehzad fan, why would you make a thread and highlight his below par strike rate?

Hehe good attempt by OP bhai to bring Shehzad in a good light, but got slayed by all the other posters.

Don't worry msb keep trying. However, Shehzad won't fail to disappoint you. He is just not good enough and doesn't deserve to play international cricket anymore.

Strike rate is 118 is good as Opener who has the chance of play in the power play overs!!!
His teams overall strike rate is over 130 !!!!!

I talked about the average - read the OP again.

Brah you live in Texas, I'm in complete shock that you're a fan of Shehzad.

Have you not watched his mediocrity over the last 3-4 years? The reason I even brought up your state is so I can prove to you that you're living in a state that surely broadcasts Pakistan Cricket games.

He averaged 37 from 2013 onwards in ODI's.

Granted his SR was not the best but his conversion rate was good and he made it count once he get above 50.

Still have faith in him to come good.

Strike is not important, whether he helped his team win the matches, yes he did . When chasing in a low scoring game, it hardly matters.

Wont worry about strike rates because wickets in Bangladesh are sluggish in nature. Even in international T20s a score of 150 is deemed as decent and very much defendable.

However, Shehzad has had easy matches where he had to chase 120/130ish which meant he could easily coast to the total but at a slow rate

I miss Shehzad's swag and aggressive attitude in International cricket, even his staunch haters admit he was wrongly dropped from Test format.

Beautiful duck by Shehzad!

Lmao

So ironic

It was better for OP that Shehzads poor performances weren't getting any attention before the thread was maxe

He should be the backup in Tests. He is much better than Masood.

In ODIs and T20s, it will be difficult for him to get another opportunity because there are quite a few players ahead of him.

We are already playing Sami Aslam and Azhar Ali.

How does he warrant a spot ahead of them?
