Any fans of the show here?

Share your favorites memories of the show. I used to watch it when it first started but then it dragged on and on. Started in the early 90s I think and dont know when it ended.

Stories of Ainak Wala Jin and Zakoota. And Bil Batori

Bil Batori... Nasaan Chori,
Adhi Mithi, adhi Kori,
I am sorry, I am sorry.

Churail nahi to deyn hai, meri choti behn hai..

Was a pretty pathetic show but for us entertainment starved kids then in Pakistan, I think it was one of the options.

lol the characters like "Zakoota" and "Bil Batori" were very famous and friends used to call each other with those names :yk

Someone told me this was famous in India too especially Zakoota. Can any Indian pper confirm it?

I used to watch this show as a kid.

"mujhe kam batao.. mujhe kaam batao ..mein khoon pee jaoon ga.....haha haha"

Zakoota is one of my favorite characters.

Zakoota is one of my favorite characters.

I think he used to go
"Mujhey kaam batao mein kia karoon, mein kiss ko khaoon.." used to repeat it over and over again.

That's right. Now too old to remember every word of it off the top of my head....but his shouting had no parallel. I was surprised to see that he did not get a brain hemorrhage.

I wonder when that show actually ended?

Well I think we should turn this into a classic PTV kid shows from the 80s thread for us thirty or 40 somethings.

Do you guys remember that show Bhoot Bangla?? And there was another one about a Robot Alien Kid, and for the life of me I cannot remember the actual name of that show. I was really young for both those shows. I think these shows aired during the early to mid 80s.

If anyone does remember, will be glad to hear about your memories.

NOSTALGIA!

It was very good children's show. I think all the episodes are on Youtube now.

'Ainak Wala Jinn',.... ah´ those childhood memories:)!

Reason well pointed out I reckon.

It was fine for its time I remember watching it for an year regularly it was like never ending show.

This is one Jinn that ought never to grace the venerated Jinn thread.

Anyhow, I have an anecdote related to this show that you may like. We had moved back to Pakistan after ten years away. I was fourteen when we returned.

In the school I joined, there was a teacher known as Sir Zakoota. I had assumed Zakoota was an obscure Jatt/Rajput caste, and that it was his family name.

One day, I was returning to class after recess, and Sir Zakoota stopped me, handed me a sheaf of papers, and told me to deliver it to the principal's office. I did so, but because of it, I was late for class. The teacher asked me why, and I said I was "running an errand for Sir Zakoota."

The teacher stared at me, mouth open in shock, while the rest of the class laughed. Finally he remembered that I was new and ignorant of recent Pakistani pop culture references, and he told me to go to my desk. That day I finally learnt about Ainak Wala Jinn, where Zakoota Jinn was a character.

Never understood why this was popular though maybe I was a bit late to the party

Apparently bilawal Bhutto really liked it and the show was about the end so benazir called and they had to make another season :)))

Bin batodi was not his sister. She was hamoon jaadugars sis. Zakoota was nobody's brother, he was just another jin who loked to eat and drink gallons of milk .Ainak wala jin was a groundbreaking show for us kids in Pakistan .I used to skip quran learning to watch the show as a kid.No regrets !
