It was already known to everyone that host board keep all the gate profits. BCCI and SLCB already benefitted from it in 2018 & 2022 version of Asia Cup.

He also said that the production costs etc will be deducted and also that he does not expect games to be full houses in SL.

PCB is the host nation. The PCB argument was that the gate receipts in UAE will be higher vs Sri Lanka, if Sri Lanka cannot generate the same gate receipts then the PCB wants the ACC to compensate them for the loss in gate receipts from hosting the tournament in Sri Lanka.

SLC will get a "Hosting fees" to cover costs. PCB would have got that if they had hosted the matches. Gate receipts go to the actual hosting board, no matter where they host it.

The point I'm making though is that Sethi is suggesting that the full hosting fee is going to PCB, which surely cannot be true.

Cost of SLC will be deducted. So yes, full amount won't go to Pakistan. But PCB may have had to pay higher costs because of security had they hosted the matches in Pakistan. So financially PCB may benefit.
