Are you or your family members (Doc/Police etc) helping in a fight against Covid-19?

My daughter is a doctor and she is working day and night in order to safe people lives. And i dont know since how many days she hasn't came to home.

And i myself is a (scientist) so i obviously don't go home in months, and now cases has been reported in my native city (Kohat) due to which i am mentally disturbed. But here we have to do our jobs and to serve this nation.

So do remember people like us in your humble prayers.

Are you or your family member facing the same situation?

My son is a doctor and doing same - worrying times for all of us parents!

I'm on duty. Medical Specialist, working in Hepatology in a tertiary care hospital. I am taking all the safety measures but haven't yet isolated from family in true sense. Partial intermittent isolation.

Four family members directly involved, and that is just immediate family, not including cousins or in laws. Three doctors and one in the food industry.

Hearing that some doctors and health staff being abused - just breaks my heart as these people deserve so much respect.

I personally have several doctor friends who are on the front line. My daughter is into her second year of studying medicine and some of her older 5th year friends finished uni abruptly prior to graduation and are now on the front line.

We do our bit for the local community but being immune suppressants I’m not allowed to volunteer to any more more then what I’m doing now.

My dad can't work from home. He has to go out daily.

He is 60+ with heart disease. May God keep the virus away.

Big thanks to all those who are at the front line (specially doctors and nurses).

I have been wondering about this one, how do we view those who are involved in public transport?

In my opinion, if you are driving a bus or a taxi, you are exposing yourself to genuine risk. Not sure about trains or trams, but I suppose this also applies to flight staff as well.

Are they heroes, or actually doing a disservice by risking spread the virus?

Me, wife, brother, 3 cousins and their spouses, 2 uncles and aunt. My wife especially has seen a lot of people die. And it's quite depressing.

They're introducing testing for NHS staff so I hope it prevents it spreading more.

I hope he stays safe. I can't believe they're making him go to work esp since his age group is very vulnerable.

Some of my friends are nurses and medical assistants and are dealing with this pandemic. Other friends are working in essential services such as warehouses, grocery stores and transit/rideshare and have to keep working in this pandemic so civilization continues to function.

I have family in the property business as well and I know construction workers and their supervisors are exposed as well. But to me no one is more exposed than taxi drivers or bus drivers. Have taxis been stopped from operating yet?

You're completely correct ofcourse. Bus drivers, Uber especially.

Thanks, man.

This virus can be dangerous for anyone but more so for folks over 60. Just hoping for the best. May God protect us.

I am a resident anaesthetist/intensivist and my wife is a gynaecologist.
We both had been doing our 36 hours of calls every 3rd day, for the past week or so.
Unfortunately, she was exposed to a patient without wearing personal protection kit who later came out being covid 19 positive, and thus we have both been advised isolation till we get our screening done.

InshahAllah, if the tests are negative, I will be greatly looking forward to getting back to work.

i am not doctor neither nurse i have nothing to offer. However, i try to tell everyone to follow all the instructions that doctors are telling on tv, or social media.

And i am praying for all the world that Allah protect all the humans from this virus.
