Arsenal arguably the most popular club on Pak Passion is all set for the next season ..
We are in early July and Only One Signing has been made in form a Mid fielder Granit Xhaka..We were close to signing Vardy but he rejected us eventually.. Where as Europa clubs like United are signing Zlatan and Mikhitariyan...Arsenal definitely need a striker to Challenge Giroud with Welbeck out injured once again for more than half of the season . What are the realistic signings we can make?

Getting rejected by one player doesn't make you a small club.

United have been rejected by muller,sanches, hummels, kroos,lucas mora,neymar,bale in recent years.

So does this make them a small club?
 
Transfer window is so boring when your an Arsenal fan? There is no concrete link to any player just the same rumours getting made up. Can't wait till September 1st when the window closes. Hope we have what we need but I'm worried wenger will leave us short :mv

This Japanese player we are signing I am not going to judge him till I have seen him play a few games or so. But I do not understand what he is thinking signing this guy before a proven goal scorer, is he trying to annoy the fans or something?

Other teams are spending money like there is no tomorrow and here we are signing a player who will be loaned out and take time to settle into England anyway
I hope wenger has a plan because things could ugly this season if we have a repeat of previous seasons.
 
Hearing about Alexander Lacazette (I hope I spelt it right) - but no decent news group reporting that.. I don't even know how he is, but since he belongs to a french club I am confident..

On a different note, 3 goals for Olivier Giroud in the tournament, 2 vs Iceland in a crucial knockout fixture.. and probably a few assists to add to the tally..
He's had a wonderful tournament..
 
Giroud is pretty underrated.. His only worst enemy is himself, when he is not the mood to play he looks ridiculously bad.. seems almost disinterested..
 
Giroud's finishing is pretty average but his linkup play and overall contribution to the game is very good.. which makes him a decent center forward to have.. Still need another decent striker upfront to compensate for Giroud's slowness
 
We need an improvement on Giroud. He has had 4 years and he has shown that we won't go to the next level with him. He is a good player to bring off the bench and gives us a plan B but we need better.

I would prefer Lacazette over Lukaku because Lacazutte gives us the pace in behind and also he is a better dribbler than Lukaku from what I have heard of people who have seen lacazutte play a lot. Not a big fan of Lukaku anyway

The serious Transfer business I see being done by United, City and Chelsea...

yet Arsenal cannot even secure the services of a £20M Vardy, instead wenger signs a lad called Assano to send on loan. Zaman badl gaya hai lekin Wenger nahi badla!
 
Unless we sign a top class striker and CB it will be another season of disappointment. Wenger needs to stop messing around and actually spend some top dollar on two top quality players in his final season as manager.
 
Djibril Sidibe is apprentley our next signing. Haven't heard of him till today. Can play right back and left back from what I have heard. We did need some cover for Bellerin as Debuchy doesn't want to be at Arsenal and I don't think Jenkinson is good enough for Arsenal and he's injured anyway. So it's gamble that could pay off. Will need to him play before I judge him.
 
Rumours flying that arsenal may bid for draxler...if somehow we sign him would be some signing

Boring transfer window. Just start the season we aren't nor going to sign anyone decent. Start the season and hopefully it's Wengers last one
 
Higuain being linked today with a possible swap with Giroud. Wenger didn't want to pay 40 million for him 3 years why would he want to pay 60 million now?:facepalm:.

I wI'll defend wenger as much as I can but honestly there is no defence if this window isn't successful. I hope this his last season. Every other fan can enjoy the transfer window thinking which player will there club sign. As an Arsenal fan we worry will wenger even sign any. So bored of it. I will defend certain parts of his transfer strategy but not the part where he would take a risk of signing no one than taking a gamble on a player.
 
Arsenal now linked to subotic from dortmund, he would be an excellent signing, with kos likely to miss 1st few games of season due to playing so late in euros, we cant afford to start season with donkeys like mertersaker and gabriel at the back.

Subotic isn't the same player since coming back from injury. Would prefer Manolas or Murillo

There are no players available in the world that can improve Arsenal didn't you know? Only Arsenal can't be improved by any player. There is no right back better than debuchy. There are no wingers better than Campbell Walcott and Ox. Expect something like this the day after transfer window from wenger.
 
Arsenal need to send big and get one of Draxler or Barbosa from Brazil and Marquinhos. And most importantly a striker. Spend big on Aubameyang.
And off load few of the dead wood players.

If you don't bid for a player how do you know he won't want to join us. I think he would come to us ahead of Man City if we go in for him as he will our main striker and playing alongside Ozil and Sanchez will tempt him. Only team he will choose ahead of us is Madrid but if they don't go for him we should.

He didnt even want to join city so why would he join us? Also dortmund won't sell him now after losing star players. If we try for him I have no problem I just don't expect us to get him. I have wanted auba since last summer anyway

Because he knows he would have to fight for a spot with Aguero and reason he delaying everyfing so Madrid can come in but don't think they will. I personally think if we go for him he would come but transfer fee will be around £60 million+ which Wenger will never do unfortunately.

He could easily slot in on the wing at city. Also pep is apparently considering playing 3 at the back meaning 2 strikers up top is a possibility. I think dortmund did not want to sell.

Lmao wenger would pay the money but I don't think he wants to join us.
 
Arsenal interested in Higuain according to Sky sources but his release cause is 80m. Wenger would never pay that in a million years and I won't blame him in this case. No way in Higuan worth that much. Absolutely ridiculous transfer fees.

I have read somewhere Napoli will accept 60M euros. They themselves know they cannot really get anyone to match that release clause
 
One of my best mates works for Puma in Germany (their head office apparently) and he said he's heard Higuain to Arsenal is in the advanced stages of the transfer.

Apparently Puma are pushing Arsenal to make a big name signing.

Lmao Wenger will never pay that much money. We have lost out of many world class players because of his stubbornness. And if you not going to go enquire about a player or put bid in how do you know he don't want to join. £60 million would get us Aubomeyang but Wenger will never pay that much that's why he hasn't gone in for him instead trying to negotiate a deal for Higuain who despite having a huge release clause, Wenger is confident he can do a deal for around £40-45 million.

How do you know wenger wouldn't pay that for him? Because the media tell you this? Realistically he won't want to join us and dortmund won't sell now anyway.

We could get higuain for less than the release clause as he wants to leave. Most players with ridiculous buy out clauses don't leave for that price. Let's see what happens. I'm not convinced that we are in for Higuain. Could be a smokescreen for Lacazuette or Morata

Wenger said Ozil was a bargain, you think he wouldn't pay 8 million more for him? Wenger is over cautious when it comes to transfers he over analyzes too much.

I don't even think we are in for Higuain. I hope I'm wrong but got a feeling it's a smokescreen
 
well you aint getting mehdi benatia - official signed with juve, on a 2 yr loan option costs us 3m euro's ,option to buy for 17m euro's - dont know his wage.

But you lot wre linked with him for a bit, only downside with this guy is that he gets injured a bit, only 40-50 games for bayern in 2 seasons.

Yet another pathetic transfer window with just 1 major signing, we need a world class Striker and CB, same as last season and instead wenger is caught pissing in the wind again, good riddance when hes gone after this season as club might start moving forward again once he goes.
 
Expect usual poor start to season against liverpool and leicester and then usual panic buys by wenger, hes had all summer to get signings sorted but as per usual has made a dogs dinner out of things!
 
Idk how does wenger keep embarrassing himself every transfer window? Why cant he spend when he was got the money ? Really rubbish ... I hope we finish outside top 4 and wenger is sacked

Riyad Mahrez has agreed to join Arsenal according to some reports in France. Taking it with a pinch of salt hopefully it's true

3 weeks to go till the season starts and we need a cb, striker, maybe a winger. Joke of a window. Wengers last season at arsenal. Higuain to Juve is done. Another striker gone.

Bro I don't think we are in for Ben Yedder. I think he will go Sevilla. Lyon want Ben Yedder to replace Lacazuette who we would like to sign. We are intentionally being linked with Ben Yedder to drag the price down of lacazuette but it won't work. We should just pay the money for lacazuette if we want him. I don't think wenger will pay more than 40 million for Lacazuette, so it's Lyon and Lacas hands.

Mertesacker being out is a big blow. He offers experience and is brilliant at reading the game. I don't see us signing a top cb maybe a young one so it's a big blow. Gabriel your time has come. He needs to stand up. Think he will come good. But needs to perform soon.

Normally i would be happy with this doneky being injured as he was going to be named captain which would have been a huge mistake, we needed to sign a world class CB regardless of injuries or not, to be honest we really need to sign two new defenders but it wont happen.

Also the club needs to stop pissing around and just signed a world class striker and pay the big money that you need to.

Gazdis talking nonsense as usual saying we cant out spend big clubs, no one is asking you tom just buy two world class players thats it!
 
I have a feeling that the only way this board and manager will realize the frustration caused by them to the fans is if the fans strike out by not attending the home games. It may be cruel, but you cant constantly be ripping off these fans with the most expensive tickets in the league yet the most dud players representing a great club.

Wenger says he will signed an experienced CB - which means either sol campbell will come out of retirement and be signed or some other has been rubbish CB will be signed.

Loads of strikers are available but problem is wenger isnt penny pinching and wont spend any money, you want a world class striker then you have to pay top prices, we wont win the league with a sub standard striker like giroud leading the team
 
players like Michy Batshuayi and Nolito have moved for just £33m and £13m this summer, so we could have signed some good players already for fairly reasonable prices! typical rubbish transfer dealings by arsenal at moment.

I have heard we are after a young cb, so it could be a young cb with a lot of experience in a top league.

Yes he should know you may have to over pay but how many options do we have? We won't get suarez Lewdowski Aguer, etc.

We won't get Lacazuette because I don't think wenger will pay more than 40 million for him. That's my opinion I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it.

For cb I think it will be a player less than 20 million, Mustafi doesn't seem like wenger would pay that for him

He is so fustrating in the transfer window. We are 3 weeks away from the season starting and we still need 3 players and we have 5/6 players who may not play the 1st game.

Hopefully this is his last season, I support him as much as I can but I know his time is up and we won't be moving forward with him in charge.
 
Wenger saying there is not many class players in market available...rubbish if he thinks Mahrez Mustafi Laz are not quality and an upgrade on current ones.

Wenger was at stadium to watch Leicester play psg now media houses claiming he was scouting Mahrez , wouldnt take that too seriously...but if wenger has some sense remianing he should bid for Mahrez and maybe add theo pacy walcott in the deal too...
