I even saw Mohanty and Kuruwilla bro.. I can’t even recall if we played against them but always felt like we got smacked in non-Icc games.

Prassad’s best game against PCT was 1999.. terrible throughout
Fun fact, Prasad and Kuruvilla have the same test average as Naseem Shah.

Might need to convert the Asia Cup to an Afro Asia Australasia Cup to include teams like South Africa, New Zealand, Australia to make the tournament more competitive. Massive gulf in gap between India and the rest of the Asian teams.

Sufyan as usual

Bowling too fast on a length

Floats up the slower balls.

Rubbish. Maybe it’s Faisal Akram who needs to be our 2nd spinner

Didn’t Lanka win one of the last two editions.. I think Lanka does turn up often in Asia cup

@jnaveen1980 u have relentlessly wasted ur energy for 2 days to put sense in to some clown by showing 24/25 stats. U should have let reality sink in :misbah
I think they have to detach themselves as the fan of the country momentarily to see the reality. If you view through that nationality lens you will find even find the negatives as positive.

Mohanty was a brilliant swing bowler, obviously didn’t have that much pace or consistency in non swinging conditions but with new ball in helpful conditions he was so brilliant to watch.

Kuruvilla supposedly was a fast bowler in domestics but got injured, by the time he played was India he bowled slower than Kumble.

Childhood memories are much fun.

Afro Asia Cup sounds better. Include teams like South Africa and Zimbabwe. :inti

U tried with lots of patience but he hung on to 21 than recent records/ reality.he was acting more of a troll with insufferable jealousy.

Pakistan team has many problems.

Our best batsmen is unfortunately Shaheen whose primary skillset is bowling and he is bang ordinary at it.

Our best bowler so far is Saim whose primary skill is batting but seems to be hatching eggs every time he comes out to bat.

Our batsmen can't construct innings and our bowlers primary skillset is defensive bowling which doesn't work when the batters don't score.

Losing to India is fine but unless Pakistan realizes that there are gaping holes in team structure and ability the results will continue to be similar.

They are, I still remember Rajesh Chauhaan playing such a good cameo in one series lol

Pretty steady, cool, professional performance from India against what to be honest, looks like an amateur team.

Makes for a bit boring viewing but good for the heart I suppose.

Both batting and bowling humiliated . Add to that dumb tactics by Hesson and Agha to bat first . Now thy should just try to reach finals that will be a big achievement

Clear gap in class India is s top tier team while pakistan iis low tier team no match at all some fans disillusioned to believe that we can compete with india

He hit saqlain Mushtaq for a 6 and won us a match, that’s the only memory I have of him haha.

Hrishikesh Kanitkar hit a 4 when India chased down 314 or something against Pakistan in some final IIRC. Another beautiful memory.

No quick fixes. What India enjoys today is because of a robust domestic structure, IPL, competition for all spots in the team and quality coaching from foreign legends and Indian legends in their domestic cricket, IPL and academies.

Pakistan even with best intentions does not have the economy to match this, to make matters we don't even do the controllables well, player power dominates where ordinary senior players get a long rope and young players, domestic replacements are discarded after only a few chances in comparison, end result is there no bench strength and the same tried tested recycle players continue to dominate the national team for a good decade. You cannot develop a competitive team like this.

I was thinking they should have India vs. Rest of Asia but even that would be a mismatch the way things are right now.
