It's the best T20 league in the world and is one of the major reasons why India won the 2011 WC and continues to be such a dominant cricketing nation.
Let it go BVB. You don't have to watch it or sing any praises but it is time to accept cricket has changed. You're no different to the old era hype fanatics who rate the likes of Hobb, Bradman, WG Grace above Tendulkar, Lara, Ponting and etc.
We don't live in the 200-250 ODI scoring era anymore - IPL is a great source of channelling talent and getting upcoming players to accustom themselves to the pressure and larger crowds you find in international cricket. In addition it allows players to rub shoulders with the best players in the world.
Overall it's a great stepping stone towards international cricket for the upcoming players. More experienced cricketers have the chance to enhance their limited overs skills with the best Indian talent + top overseas players.
The cheerleaders, music and entertainment are also a nice touch.
