Probable Australia XI: David Warner, Travis Head, Cameron White, Steve Smith (c), Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Tim Paine (wk), Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Adam Zampa

Probable England XI: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Alex Hales, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (c), Jos Buttler (wk), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran, Mark Wood

England 2/1 after the first over. Good start for Australia to get rid of Roy early

Cummins and Hazlewood on a Day 1 Test type deck. Different gravy this one!

Woakes and stokes and Moeen Ali. Problems aplenty for England but its a problem every team wishes they had.

Absolute howler of a batting display, but can’t be too disappointed overall given the three previous consecutive sterling performances to win the series.

Notable however that Cummins is now bowled out and Hazelwood only has 2 overs left. Woakes and Curran could theoretically milk the rest of the attack (which is village green standard in comparison) to at least get over 150.

Still not convinced by Woakes for Tests, but in ODIs he is turning into an absolute beast. Could be on for a maiden international ton here. (Current HS is 95*.)

Would 200 be defendable here or am I dreaming?

What a spectatcular recovery from England. I really hope they win this, just to underscore how hopeless Australia is. And if the ball does half as much under lights as it did in the Test match, they have every chance.

Nah, this isn’t defensible. I expected the Aussies to hit the straps on Australia Day.

I think if we can keep the margin of loss mildly respectable (3 or 4 wickets) and then hit back to win the final game, that would represent a fantastic series for England. Whatever happens we have won the bilateral against Oz in Oz ergo it has been a good series, but it could be even better.

What’s going on with Smith at the moment? Seems to have made a deal with the devil to become the 21st century Bradman when he wears white clothing, but metamorphosise into a dross limited overs batsman in exchange.

Adil Rashid gets Smith yet again. Should have played in the Ashes.

England need more Brummies in the team, they'd never lose again.

Only lost by 3 wickets in the end, quite a spirited performance by the England bowlers as I suggested it could be. Maybe another 30 runs and we might have had this one.

England are such a gun batting line up that even after being 5 down for 8 runs they can still rack up 200 on the board.

They are increasingly looking like the favs for 2019 WC.

England once again struggle when the pitch has something for bowlers. Reminds me of the ODI at Lords vs South Africa last year when the batting collapsed on a greentop.

Best way to beat England is to should sporting pitches as if the pitch is flat, you'll struggle to contain this lineup.

Wait a minute Australia recalled Cameron White after such a long time. So it's not just us who have a habit of recalling TTFs.

On flat pitches it's impossible to stop this Poms batting line up. On a bowling friendly pitch, the game is more in the balance. But have to say, England are one of the favourties for the 2019 WC.
