Rather have Aus win because if NZ dont win anymore and Pak beat Bangladesh, both teams will be on 11 points and in theory Pak should be close or above the NRR.
 
Taylor dropped on 2 by Smith.

Pressure situation for NZ as Aus will hunt these wickets.
 
This is Australia's cup to lose. They have reached 95% of the full world cup winning form. Beherendoff is threatening. Even cummins is miserly. Starc is continuing his merri way by being the GO TO man for Australia. Several batsmen are in form except Maxie who probably will turn up in crunch games. Nobody is stopping Aussies.

Usually non pak matches are filled up with posts too.
 
Every thing hinges on Taylor now. He has achieved a feat of 1000 runs against Australia. 5th NZ lander to do so. Gettable. But Starc threat is always there.
 
Taylor holed out to keeper. Sounds funny. But that is what happened. Lifted straight up in the air. Cummins got him.
 
Only red hot form Jazba Junoon Pakistan can stop this Australian team, don’t want Aussies to win another cup.

Australia are bullying just about everyone lol. They have found their best bowling combination now . Once their batting starts firing, they'll be unstoppable.
 
as usual once Aussies see an opening they go for the kill and don't ease up, something other teams could learn from.
 
New Zealand’s NRR will be affected badly if they lose by 80 - 60 runs. If England wins both matches then Pakistan can knock out Kiwis

That's a load of rubbish.

Pakistan barely bear Afghanistan, their NRR is so far behind NZ's that it's almost impossible for them to go ahead on NRR.
 
Pakistan might be in a scenario where they may need to chase Bangladesh's total in 30-35 overs, in order to knock out New Zealand.

Agreed. Pakistan well behind NZ in terms of NRR. Even if they crush BD, they will remain in negative. NZ are currently +1.00.

The only way for Pak is get to 11 points and hope England don't go past 10.
 
This is not good for England.

New Zealand would definitely try to win their match against England.
 
If Aussies win today it gives us two bites of the cherry...

With this game you just never know.
If England lose to India they may come out and absolutely hammer you...

With Pakistan you never know. They could win the toss and smash 330 against Bangladesh and then bowl them out below 200.

Bangladesh have one of the best batting line ups in the WC, they've scored 300+ more times than NZ and Pakistan combined. And even if you do that you're -0.7 in NRR and you'll probably still have neg NRR.

Nz already given up they are taking game deep to preserve
Nrr as much as possible

We are the 4th best batting side after India, Aust and England.

A big defeat and being bowled well will affect NZ NRR. Don't see the tail lasting versus Starc , Cummins , and Lyon here.

Ok even if you put NRR aside, I don’t think the Kiwis will want to go into a semi in the back of three losses...
 
Better for Pakistan is Australia bowl out NZ within the next 20 runs. It will bring NZ's NRR down and will help in the unlikely situation that England beat both India and NZ and Pakistan beat Bangladesh.

Starc over Boult anyday. Starc gets that extra bit of pace that makes the difference . This reminds me of the 2015 world cup group match when Boult took an impressive fifer but then Starc came on and made Boult look pedestrian with a display of frightening pace and swing
 
Dont worry about the NRR guys, its beyond the reach of Pakistan. Even if NZ lose to England by 100 odd runs, we still have to beat Bangladesh with 300+ runs, virtually impossible.

Our win against Bangla is hard enough, dont get into these stupid calculations :moyo2

Starc is looking like he might end up being the highest wicket taker in the WC unless Amir, Ferguson etc give a match winning performance

Why are Pakistani fans talking about NRR even after this loss, they will be far behind in us in NRR.

England just have to lose one out of two and Pakistan need to win against BD.
