Australia [258/0] beat India [255] by 10 wickets in the first ODI, lead series 1-0

10 years back we never worried when we lose 5 wickets. Especially losing 5th wicket by 40th over would be ideal for us with Dhoni and Yuvi. Nowadays not so.
 
Shreyas Iyer, the up and coming potential great Flat Track Bully. IF THE bowlers can make the ball bounce above knee level then that's the end of this clown. Why is mediocrity like this Iyer in the Indian team ??.

He did score runs. We cannot drop a batsman just because he sucks against one type of bowling. You need a lot more evidence like Rayudu gave us. These are the things you find in the nets.
 
That kuldeep's shot against Starc is the true nature of Wankhede. You just have to touch. Ball will just fly.

Ok... You cannot expect always 300+ batting shoot outs (even on flat wickets). Lets see if bowlers make a game out of this...

I believe he was a shooting duck in South Africa from memory. He sucks, drop his sorry can't bat against quality bowling a***....
 
The ball will come onto the bat better under lights. This is similar to how we lost that 360 odd game in Mohali .

India getting banged kohli is an extremely poor odi captain he needs to seriously let his ego go and hand it over to rohit now before it becomes shameful for him in the t20 word cup
 
Have to really acknowledge the Indian commentators, every game we drop catches and midfield and yet every time it happens the commentators treat it like it is a surprising event that never really occurs much and manage to do it with a genuineness.

He can't be sacked before the cup, though ganguly's statements make it clear either he wins or he isn't captain any longer.
 
Find it surprising teams continue to regard Warner and Smith as the biggest threats in an Australian line-up, while Finch is the one who takes the early initiative and razes bowling attacks consistently.
 
Mistimed shots go to boundaries here easily. Already bowler is unable to hold the ball lol> This is going to get ugly for India. Finch is such a dominating player when in touch. Warnerknows inside out of every ground in India. This match is done.

yes. Finch is the most dagnerous up the order because he absolutely wastes no time changing gears.

I remember in the WC how we kept talking about Smith and Warner before our encounter, while Finch absolutely shell-shocked the bowlers into submission.

You need to get Finch early to get on top of Australia.

This is the perfect stadium for someone like Finch. Very short side boundaries. Lightning outfield. Glorious batting deck with zero movement. Wet ball.

This Indian team is not winning any big tournament without Thala. Overrate Kohli's gutsy captaincy is nothing but a disgrace.
 
Poor stuff from Indian pacers. Either half volleys or short balls being delivered and every pacer is going at 7+ RPO. Also moving Kohli to no 4 was a poor move, you dont move your best batsman to accommodate someone else in that position.
 
Bring on the spinners for crying out loud!

Australia would have faced the same if they had bowled second. This is sort of a ground under lights.
 
Aussies are overly familiar with Indian conditions. There is no real home advantage when we play aussies here
 
Aus are the real world champions, had they not prioritised winning the ashes they would have won the cup at a canter.
 
What a nasty start by Australia kohli is looking shell shocked. He was super calm when he was bashing minnows now he’s got something to deal with here I won’t be surprised if it’s 3-0 this time for Australia since India’s middle order is close to none plus Australia is the team only with a bowling attack that can defend against India easily

Should have been caught. Iyer was too lazy to start off. KUldeep missed a wicket of the first ball.
 
Enjoying watching the smile being wiped off kohlis face. Still very early days but the signs are good, india were just a hype job after all.

Dude. at wankhede you can just swing through the line regardless of the length. Did you see how Kuldeep smashed starc straight down the ground. There is nothing like good length here against good striking batsmen.

You have obviously not seen matches of Australia vs India in India lol India chased 350 plus totals back to back against Australia with overs to spare. KOhli made 100 in 52 balls.
 
Jadeja averages 36 with the ball in ODIs, atleast the economy is under 5. He should have improved his bowling average over the years because even when he started he was averaging 35+.
 
INdia has to play kuldeep and chahal together to get back their success mode. THey were the one who took INdia to no.1 ranking before they fell from there. This Jadeja guy somehow crept back into the side.

This is not the first ground ever with due and pacers are supposed to be the go to bowlers when there is due because they arent effected as much as the spinners.
