Another D/N test in Australia and another hammering for Bharat. It’s safe to say that our team isn’t the same while playing D/N test matches with the pink ball in Australia.

In 2016-17, Asad Shafiq led Pakistanis almost chased down a 500sh total at the Gabba Pink ball D/N test.

What is it that Asad Shafiq and Co were able to execute that our Multi millionaire cricketers cannot replicate?
That inning was special. but yeah Australia has been dominating d/n games for now.

Delusion fans on odd days ( when india win ) - Australia is losing because IPL contract

Delusion fans on even days( When india lost) - india is losing even they have enough money due to IPL.

This is why they are known as delusion fans. :shh :kp

Why don't siraj play like travis head and shut him down???

Asad Shafiq would walk into our team over our pretenders like Gill/Rahul/Rohit.

No need to thank the trio Australia owned the whole indian team

Because if the replacement are Easwaran , Sarfaraz than no need to change.
paddikal pradosh and many more available. not just those 2. paddikal can actually survive the new ball and last 60 70 balls unlike kohli or rohit.

Sarfraz needs another shot - he was dropped prematurely.

Jurel is way more composed than Gill.

? they won cause rohit and kohli played. along with kl
we were perfectly fine without our moron fake captain in the last game in the real test with a real cricket ball.
not this pansy ball.

sarfraz is morbidly obese. no thanks. he needs to lose tons of weight. otherwise he shouldnt play cricket.

Padikkal is nothing special .i have seen in 1st test.

I'll sundar as pure batters instead padikkal ,Easwaran and Sarfaraz.

Anyways this is pink ball test so dont think too much and back the boy's .

We are still 1-1.

But rohit should never Play any test let alone captain.

jurel sundar no question
they both should walk into the team
pradosh is very good
paddikal is 100 times better than useless rohit and kohli now. he can actually tire the bowlers a bit

Well deserved 👏 the better team won. Had Rohit played the first match India would have been looking at 2-0 Aus right now.

IF Rohit.playes next match it will be 2-1 Aus going into Melbourne.

Had India won this match I dont think you would call it pansy ball, KL and kohli played last game, so why wouldnt they be playing this game, just accept that Australia was the better team in this test match no shame in that

no other team plays pink ball seriously. and no i dont pink ball.
australia was the better team yes. thanks to rohit kohli and kl rahul.

they should win the series anyway. they did lose the last 4 vs india. now that rohit is back, should be 3 - 1 aus.

without him as captain, i would say it will be more competitive. maybe a 2 - 2 draw was on the cards.

Congratulations to Aus, hopefully the next match is more exciting, Head has now delivered in one win in home conditions, needs to do a lot more to be rated alongside Sidhu.

Shami should come back, Akashdeep in for Rana in the next match.

india batting perth first innings aside has failed every time. too many sub 200 scores.
cant win like that. batting needs a complete overhaul.

For next tour to australia, India should reject playing DN test. This is not fair at all.
problem is not many other teams play it. dont hate the idea of pink ball but yea it is strange to play a random day nighter.

Australia top the WTC25 Standings with a win in Adelaide

A 10-wicket victory in Adelaide has helped Australia to level the five-match series 1-1 and go to the top of the ICC World Test Championship Standings.

Beginning the Day at 128/5, it was imperative for India to hold on. However, the hosts did not let them linger for long. Mitchell Starc struck early to remove Rishabh Pant on his overnight score of 28.

Three overs later, Pat Cummins came in to dismiss Ravichandran Ashwin, who went to hook a bouncer and gloved one straight to wicketkeeper Alex Carey.

India could add only 47 runs to their overnight total and folded by 175 with just an 18-run lead. Cummins was the pick of the bowlers in the second innings, registering his 13th five-wicket haul in Tests.

It did not take long for Australia openers to scores the required 19 runs as the hosts secured a big 10-wicket victory, with the match finishing in less than two hours on Day 3. It was the shortest Test between Australia and India in terms of balls, with just 1031 balls being bowled in the entire match.

Shortest Tests between India and Australia (by balls)

MatchBalls bowled
Adelaide, 20241031
Indore, 20231135
Perth (WAC), 20121200
Mumbai, 20041213
Adelaide, 20201246

Buoyant from their success in Perth, India came into the second Test with a strong side. Regular captain Rohit Sharma had returned, veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was included and young Shubman Gill came in to bolster the batting.

However, the happiness was short-lived as India's good fortune ran out as soon as they came to bat. Mitchell Starc struck on the very first ball of the day and removed the dangerous Yashasvi Jaiswal.

It was a blow that India never recovered from and despite useful contributions from KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. A small cameo from Nitish Kumar Reddy gave them hope but it was nothing in front of the brilliance that Starc produced throughout the day as the visitors were bowled out for just 180 runs in the first innings.

Starc secured a six-for, his career-best Test innings figures of 6/48.

In reply, Australia got off to a measured start. They lost Usman Khawaja on Day 1 and Nathan McSweeney and Steve Smith fell early on Day 2 but it did not dent the hosts' confidence.

Marnus Labuschagne, who was struggling to score all year, dropped anchor and along with Travis Head hit back. While Labuschagne provided the support, Head went about his usual aggressive business.

The Indian bowlers could do nothing but watch as Head smashed all over the ground. Even after Labuschagne (64) got out, Head combined with Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey to carry Australia forward. He was eventually dismissed on140 but not before taking the hosts past the 300-run mark. They eventually ended up scoring 337 runs, getting a handy 157-run lead.

India's batting left a lot to be desired in their second innings as well as the top order collapsed once again. India had already lost half their side by end of Day 2.

"That Cost Us The Game": Rohit Sharma's Unfiltered Verdict On Adelaide Test Defeat

The Indian cricket team didn't quite manage to stand up to Australia as the hosts maintained their unbeaten run in pink-ball Tests at the Adelaide Oval. After a 295-run victory against Australia in Perth, India succumbed to a 10-wicket defeat in the second Test on Sunday, triggering alarm over their World Test Championship final qualification hopes. India captain Rohit Sharma didn't quite mince words as he spoke to reporters after the second day's play in the press conference. The India captain admitted that batting was the biggest difference-maker between the two teams. "We didn't bat well, they batted well - That was the difference".

Rohit rued the team's inability to seize opportunities at crucial intervals of the game as both the batting and the bowling unit struggled to challenge Australian players the way they did in Perth.

"Disappointing week for us. We didn't play well enough to win the game and Australia played better than us. There were times in the game where we could have grabbed those opportunities but we failed to do that and that has cost us the game," said Rohit at the post-match presentation.

Rohit wasn't a part of the Indian team in the Perth Test but observed the proceedings in the middle from the dressing room. He said that the team was keen to repeat the same performance in Adelaide but it didn't quite happen.

"Yeah absolutely, I mean look you know what we did in Perth was very very special and we wanted to come out here and do that again but again we know that every Test match has its own challenge. We knew it was going to be challenging with the pink ball but again like I said you know Australia was better than us," said Rohit.

With the Brisbane challenge next, Rohit said that he is quite keen to move on to the next match, especially considering the happy memories India have at the Gabba.

"Yeah, we're quite looking forward to it. There's not much time in between as well. You know we just want to go out there and think about what we did right, you know in Perth and also what we did last time when we were here," said the captain.

Poor result for us but I refuse to accept any outcome of a Pink ball test. It is only played in Australia and very lopsided towards the home side. Add the biased umpiring, it gets more difficult for India. Test cricket should only be played with red cherry. For me this game never happened and India is heading to Brisbane Gabba 1-0 up in 4 match test series.

Cummins is a notorious abuser of the overrated just like Stokes. To keep his pacers fresh he bowls well under the overrate required

He needs to be punished. Don't like winning in this manner but points deduction equivalent to that of a win or a suspension for the captain or a forfeit level of punishment needs to be dished out
It is a big crime and you are right punishment is needed.

They should just give the series to India after this big crime of slow over rate by the Aussies despite winning the match in 2.5 days.

A tough day for India:

The Indian men's team lost to Australia.
The Indian women's team lost to Australia.
The India U19 team is on the way of losing to Bangladesh U19.

Even Jay Shah lost to Mohsin Naqvi. 😎

yes because clearly thats what i meant right?
they already gave india 4 series in a row.

slow over rate is cheating. you are protecting your bowlers by making sure they are able to bowl with full intensity by not bowling the required quota of overs per the hour.

I wouldnt want to win that way obviously but some changes have to be made.

Australia back at their best, believes Cummins after Adelaide triumph

Australia levelled the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 1-1 with a resounding victory over India in the second Test that also saw them get back atop the World Test Championship standings.

The home side's captain Pat Cummins stood out with his 13th five-wicket haul in Tests to bowl out India for 175 in the second innings, handing the Australian batters a 19-run target to level the series, which they cruised past comfortably with all 10 wickets in hand.

After a challenging start to the series in the first Test in Perth, skipper Cummins expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, and believes that going 1-0 down in the series helped Australia get back to their best.

"Great week, great to level the series. You know, I think we were back to our best. I think being one down, no doubt there's a little bit more on it, trying to level up the series," Cummins said post-match in Adelaide.

"There was never that much noise within the group, we know what a good unit we are. I was happy, wasn’t too upset with how I bowled in Perth, felt really good this week and good to get a few wickets," he added.

The 31-year-old also grabbed his 50th wicket in Border-Gavaskar Trophy Tests, while adding his eighth fifer as captain in Test cricket, placing him just behind Imran Khan (12) and Richie Benaud (9) on the list of captains with most fifers in Tests.

While Cummins led the charge with the ball in the second innings, Mitchell Starc also delivered a standout performance at the Adelaide Oval, showcasing his class once again as he scalped a stunning 6-48 in the first innings, before returning a brace in the second. With his blistering display, the left-arm pacer made it 74 wickets in 13 matches and further staked his claim as the highest wicket taker in pink-ball Tests.

“Having someone like Starc, he’s amazing, just does it time and time again. He’s done it for over a decade now. Feel very lucky and privileged to have him in our team,” said Cummins.

Another southpaw, who shone for Australia - with the bat - was Travis Head, who forged a destructive 141-ball 140-run knock in front of his home crowd, dispatching the Indian bowlers to all parts of the ground with an innings instrumental in the win. The Australian skipper lauded Head’s ability to seize control in crucial moments and step up when the stakes are high.

“It feels like every time he walks out, the game's kind of in the balance, it can go one or two ways and, within the space of a session or so he really takes the game out of their (India) hands, and he just pressures right back onto the opposition, hits into weird areas.”

The left-hand batter, who struck match-winning centuries in the World Test Championship final and the ODI World Cup final against India last year, delivered another counter-attacking innings that turned the tide in his side’s favor.

“He feels like there's a small opportunity to up the ante and again just take the game away from the opposition. He's done it time and time again for us in many different formats and he's super impressive.”

Also among the key contributors, Scott Boland once again showed his mettle with the ball, providing crucial breakthroughs at key moments. The right-rm pacer got a brace in the first innings and topped it off with a three-wicket haul in the second. With Josh Hazlewood’s return on the horizon, Cummins acknowledged Boland’s significant contribution to the team.

“Scotty just fitted in straightaway, like he always does. He probes with every ball, top of off. Hopefully, Josh is back next week. But even then Scotty is unbelievable.”

With the series tied at 1-1, and having reclaimed their place atop the World Test Championship standings, Australia square off against India next in Brisbane in the third Test, starting next Saturday, 14 December.

And for me Sachin Tendulkar never happened? Indian logic knows no bounds to its stupidity.

New narrative is to pretend nothing ever happened when India loses.

Aka wc 2023, For me The final never happened and India beating NZ in the semi's was the whole tournament.

Stupid logic.

Indeed.

Indians were filled with hubris. They now have an opportunity to embrace humility.
