Australia (474 & 234) hands India (369 & 155) an 184-run defeat in the 4th Test to take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match series

So far only way Rohit or kohli can be thrown out of team is by Suspension or severe injuries. Only God can help ,already 1 waste space nearly empty only if ICC can help . All indian fans pl pray and keep hands crossed.

hope ICC bans him from playing Test cricket because of today's incident

Only if he was 4 5 years younger. He would have atleast given 2 3 worldcups on his bowling alone to India like 2024 world cup.
 
Marsh is so bad that the Indian all rounders( Jadeja, Nitish, Sundar) look better in front of him.
 
This is good knock from Smith. He seems unfazed with wickets going at other end and is at his fluent best.

It wasn’t the case in other game where he played second fiddle to Travis dominator Head.
 
How I wish Bumrah didn't have to miss so many Tests due to Covid and his injuries. No excuses for anything, I'm merely expressing my disappointment.

Foundation was well set for Smith .he was not coming to bat like australia were 15/2.

Overall if we look he is a better fielder than both Rohit and Kohli.
He can contribute through bowling as well.

India has done well at the MCG over the years. WOn the last 2 tests. But under Rohit that might change.
 
See the difference. Do you think Kohli will hit a six like this that too when you have lost 3 wickets for like 8 9 runs.
 
India need one more before end of play to stay in the game with a decent chance.

Australia tactic is score as fast they can before the new ball but dumb Rohit don't have any plan.

18 year old INdian under-19 bowler uprooted middle stump of Constas for 0 in world cup final. Things can happen when someone taks chances. Reddy who averages 21in domestic smashed Cummins, Starc, Boland. So they become bad?
 
What is the point of playing 6 bowlers if Bumrah is going to do all the heavy lifting?

Waqar is nothing. Just a stat padder. He is below shoaib and shami too.

Bumrah is far ahead. Wasim would get carted in modern era too. With the attacking style of play.

Wasim is marginally ahead only cause of longevity. In terms of ability and impact bumrah has left him for dead too tbh


His corpse is just floating around. Another 25 more tests and that should do it for longevity too.
 
At the MCG Mayank made his debut started thrashing Australians just like Constas did. Infact Agarwal more authoritaive. His career ended though

I have never seen such a loser body language from any Indian captain. Rahane is like light years ahead of Rohit in terms of captaincy.

Waqar is a tulla bowler. Shami is way better. He maybe need to clean his crown jewels to be as good as shami at his best.

Rohit doesn't know to rotate bowlers. Nitish & Sundar would have shared at least 10 overs off Bumrah/Siraj/Akash and given them much needed rest...

Rohit dumb captaincy has cost india big time .

Playing with 3 bowlers and Bumrah alone can't take all the wickets .

Ugly to watch as always. But this guy puts his mind to it even though not in form. Great committment to contribute to the team. Kudos to Smith.
 
MCB is good for batting on first 2 days, bounce is even and there is not much movement (so takes out both LBW/Bowled & Catch behind/Slips out of the equation). The thing is you need to make smart captaincy moves so that Opposition somehow gets bowled out below 350 within 1.5 days, and then bat well in the first innings. On 4th & 5th day uneven bounce, reverse swing, spinners will all come into play... If you lose the toss and bat last, at least you should be on your toes to stay in the game. Rohit's lazy captaincy is hurting, a captain like Bumrah (as he did in 1st match) would have done much better here.. (scoreline would have been something like 260/8 by now)
 
We are used to seeing totals like 250 all out 300 all out. So 291/5 looks scary. Back in those days 291/5 is even steven as teams respond well to such totals.
 
India desperately need a wicket before end of day’s play.

5 down at end of day means Australia looking for 475-500 total.
 
Carey is a very good player In wickets like this. Good player overall.
