Australia defeat Pakistan by 20 runs despite Haris Sohail's 130 to seal 5-0 whitewash

Shan looking good here and rotating the strike well. A shame he hasn't kicked on this series.

Yes such things need to be eliminated and a better structure need to be put in place asap.

Don't forget it's a double edged sword. Other teams will also be batting on that pitch
 
Shan needs to go big, he hasnt been able to create any impact in the series.
 
From what I have seen both Shaan and Abid Ali seem to be better openers than Imam, Imam just lucky to get alot of chances and especially that Zimbabwe series to up his average.
 
Saeed Anwar and Aamir Sohail would have enjoyed these conditions so much
 
I would solely pick Haris Sohail based upon his play against spin. Very quick on his feet
 
Commentator just said he thought our batsmen would be aggressive in first 10 overs, has he not seen pak batting before lol
 
Even Australia were smart enough to go with two frontline spinners + Maxwell

Pak team doesnt have the power to hit on slower wickets so we might get bit of edge on such wickets as our players will be more effective with their natural strokes as they are timers of the ball while our full strength bowling can do decently to curtail the opposition.

Not to forget the home crowd support which plays a big role in every sport, its very underestimated point on PP.

We need Haris to play like this, no point in playing with a SR of 50 in ODIs especially when you are batting one down and inside the power play.

Plus they're familiar with the pitches as well.

I remember we swept New Zealand 5-0 in Pakistan in 2003 December and then when we toured New Zealand in January 2004 we lost 4-1.

That home series was the one where Hameed + Farhat notched up record partnerships

Exactly, I have no doubts our batting will be more effective in Pakistan. I hope it happens soon.

PSL's Pakistan's leg also showed this with Pakistani batsmen performing much better than when the matches were in UAE.

You could probably add 2 or 3 runs more to each players' averages if we played at home

the way these players are playing off the back foot is going to get one of them bowled.

When our batsmen are on the equal playing field as the opposition's batsmen our bowlers just need to outperform the opposition's bowlers which our full strength bowling does more often than not.
 
Harris Sohail should be played as a batting all rounder , that way he can be more useful to the team
 
One of this two may get a hundred , but it will not win games. Pakistan need batsmen who can win them games
 
This total is very much chaseable . Required rate is below 7 , should make sure it does not cross 8.

9 out of 10 times our batsmen will crumble chasing a 300+ score no matter how good the batting conditions are. Similarly, selecting bowlers from PSL will mean the bowlers will not nearly have enough experience to bowl 10 overs regularly.

Don't know what happened to Haris in last game, PAK easily could have won that game with a little more initiative against new ball. At the end, difference was probably 2-3 extra balls, and Haris consumed too many at the start. That was probably the weakest AUS bowling in many years and spinners were bowling with wet ball under dew.
 
We were chasing the total yesterday as well. Then whatever happened, happened lol. Still a looong way to go here
 
Don't feel comfortable watching Haris dancing Down the track to Lyon
 
so haris, rizwan and usman shinwari have probably made their ways into the world cup squad
 
100 runs within 17overs, they should play like this always.
 
We still have Rizwan to come at 4 and then the overhyped Saad Ali at 5.
 
Haris has reached his ceiling in terms of runs scored before his brain starts malfunctioning.
 
First 50 for Masood :14:

If he gets a daddy hundred here I would take him over Abid.
 
Another Tendulkaresque innings in progress by Sohail, will probably reach his century selfishly today but Pakistan will definitely lose the match.

Still more impressed with Abid Ali than Shan Masood.

Abid looks like a natural stroke maker while Shan is more of a grinder.
