3 off 2 but Woakes on strike now...real tight finish...might get a super over here...

Haha..did you see the England camp suddenly jumping and sitting down...

England win off the final ball...

Poor Watson...he did a super job...brilliant match though...

Congratz England....what a game.

They're truly a good side, their every single player has a fighting attitude and self belief, winning matches from sticky situation - a real sign of a champion team.

Glad England won.

Impressive captaincy by White in terms of field placing, but he really shouldn't have persisted with Lee and bowled his last over. Should have brought on Hussey or Keefe.

I think his bowling his changes were fine. He has 2 90+ pacers and they just had to bowl some yorkers. Both Tait and Lee failed him but all captains would have given them the ball in that situation. Though one thing is for sure, Brett Lee does not look the same. I don't think he deserves a spot in the WC team.

It's just that Lee didn't look good out there at all. Hence while tactically it was better to bring in the fast bowler at that point, I'd still bring in someone like D Hussey who I feel would have given away less runs regardless.

I don't think all captains would have given him the ball. After all when Gul's having one of his off days, he often isn't given all his 4 overs.

Loved it, well worth getting up for. A superb innings from Morgs yet again, and Woakes had a good debut. All five bowlers used did extremely well - were it not for the explosive intent of Watson, Australia would have been nowhere close to a par score. Once again, Watson dragged them kicking and screaming into contention. The much-vaunted pace trio of Lee, Tait and Johnson once again emerge from an actual cricket match looking like overrated cannon fodder. I thought Australia were pretty poor in general when they took their turn in the field - England worked a lot harder as a team to keep the run-rate down.

It took a brilliant performance from Watson throughout the 40 overs just to keep Australia in the contest, and I hope he was deemed to be man of the match. He is well and truly the best player in Australia at present - a highly intelligent and rather talented bloke who has earned my respect, and genuine captain material. It's slightly sadistic that they keep throwing him to the wolves in the media after every loss - he has been playing good cricket all summer, and just cannot end up on the winning side. He must be baffled. Once he improves his conversion rate (30s to 50s, and 50s to 100s), he will be world-class.

I watched the highlights, it was a great match but aussie team was way too weak. They had only top 4 batsmen only and bowlers were good but not in form, especially Lee, Don know why there was no NANNES, he is the best 20-20 bowler and Aussies both new players were crap. On England side, once again Morgan showed he is the savious, scored crucial runs at crucial time but they held their nerves and won the match so good luck to them for the future aswell. over all a good match n a entertaining one,. i wish i cud hv seen it live but missed it.
