Short by English standards. Short by the standards of sportsmen. I am about 5ft 7 inch and people call me short even in India.

You don't seem to realize the context behind any of this. If Taylor had batted at a SR of 80-85 from the start and then gradually upped the ante, England would actually have a chance of winning this. Even if he starts scoring at a SR of 120, it is going to do absolutely nothing for the team and will only succeed in making himself look good.

Don't know what you're talking about with your last statement. The Moeen Ali thread was bumped when he got out trying to win the game but the criticism has died off after seeing what all the other guys have come up with.

You think it's possible for even seasoned veterans to bat at 80-85 SR in this situation? Taylor is just 10 games old. He has much to learn but to criticize him for this knock is going too far.

If anything, he needs to be sent up the order over Morgan who can't get a run these days.

Did you watch the final of the cb series just some days ago.australia was in a similar situation,had maxwell played anywhere close to what taylor did today, they may as well have lost the series.between, taylor plays in the same manner no matter what, takes hell lot of balls to get his eye in, and then accrlerates later in the innings.in todays chase, he was a complete liability.
