Agree with Wasim regarding Shadab though. Middle overs will be critical. Need someone to hold the opposition quiet along with Hafeez. With Hasan woefully out of form, I would have gone for an extra pacer in place of Asif rather than Shadab.

Since 2000 they have failed to defend totals thrice. twice in subcontinent. Once outside. They only lost narroly by 1 wicket last year. Won every other time defending totals. Even defended 207, 203.

Neither... Aus are terrible when there's a hint of movement, I think they'll get to 240 purely because of batting depth and Smith. I´d never on earth want Pakistan to bat second in any match of any tournament/series, but you´ve to feel for Sarfraz here. Given the overhead cloudy conditions, and the utter lack of sunshine, he has made the decision on merit to bowl first. Sadly though, most of these things go out of the window when it comes to the Pakistan team.

Also, feel for our players who´re not used to playing in such cold condition. It´s 8°C today and Ian Ward was freezing during the pre-match analysis. I hope that they don´t have to battle the cold in addition to the Australian team.
