Brilliant bowling from Amir. Single handedly has kept Pakistan in the game. However these calls of him being made captain are ridiculous. No decent management would ever make a convicted fixer captain of the country. I'd be extremely surprised if Smith ever became captain of Australian again.

NZl is looking good as well. Very clinical - although they are yet to play a good team. I think tomorrow's game will be a washout as well - so they should be shoo-ins for the semis. In the semis if they get a fresh pitch - I think Boult and the bowlers should manage to get the team into the finals.

Yeah, I didn't watch them against India but they haven't looked good here. They should have finished with 350 at least irrespective of how well Pakistan bowled at the death.

I'm not saying Shinwari is better than Amir or he should be playing in place of Amir, but he should have been selected for this WC and given a chance. He's averaging 19 with after 15 matches.

On his day he's destructive with the ball and I like the fact that he bowls at good pace, however he's very much a rhythm bowler, either he loses the match alone for the team or he will get wickets. The other issue I have with him is his lack of bowling intelligence. I think we can do better and develop far more promising Pakistan bowlers.
