Curious idea seeing as he is better bat than either of them.

Pretty ordinary bowling effort from our guys so far. No venom in the attack without MJ. And why is Peter Siddle playing ODI cricket? He is no good at it and never has been, he is a Test bowler and we are ruining him by playing these games. :pissed:

agree where is nathan breckhan .. he`s very good odi bowler...

or may be they have preserved him for next test match

87/1. I don't think Aussies like this score?

Let me guess people want Butt who averages 38 in ODI cricket replaced with Nazir who averages 28 right?

Nazir averages 24.6 in odis mate..
for me butt brings consistency while nazir is just a hit and miss player..

Butt is doing good and luck is favoring him. Glad he kept the run rate going or we would be in trouble

Aussie's will beat Pak even if they play 11 camels from the outback...doesn't matter who is playing...Pak just can't get this monkey, or camel, off their backs...

Won't it be a good time to take bowling powerplay. The runrate is still below 6 and Kami is gone. That may drive these two to take more risks.

Law 34 of the Laws of cricket provides that:

"(a) The striker is out Hit the ball twice if, while the ball is in play, it strikes any part of his person or is struck by his bat and, before the ball has been touched by a fielder, he wilfully strikes it again with his bat or person, other than a hand not holding the bat, except for the sole purpose of guarding his wicket. See 3 below and Laws 33 (Handled the ball) and 37 (Obstructing the field).

"(b) For the purpose of this Law, 'struck' or 'strike' shall include contact with the person of the striker."

The bowler does not get credit for the wicket.[1]

the last tme younis hit a boundary in international cricket was probably against india in champions trophy of the edge to rp singh

Time to bring out the Saeed Anwar 194 jinx thread since Butt is playing so dangerously ;-) :)))

I hope Butt would stick around to score his century. But the players like Butt if they get going they can slowly up the temp and score good runs. For Butt to score 194 he has to stay for at least 49.5 overs.

We're in PP and :yk according to most PPers who was desperately needed in ODI side is playing dot after dot

Not bad for a newcomer :)

I have a feeling Younus is going to get out for something like 7 off 27 balls.

lol at YK playing the shot (nowhere) and then calling.. no no no no..
oo play your shot first to call yes yes yes

Per Richie..."some hitch hiking going on out there, Younis Khan with 2 from 10 so far"...

Younus might cost us this game while trying to regain his lost form.

YK is horribly out of sorts. He isnt middling it at all :(

You are right. He has to stay at the crease for a long time. He is having all sorts of problems. But players like YK can get back to their form quickly once they start scoring some runs.

YK looks completely out of touch.

How can this guy be batting at 3 ?

MoYo and Inti ,you two are a bunch of fools.

does YK know he is playing ODI?:)

He'll be better now the power play is finished, he can play some tip and run if the field spreads out

Yk in 2009 averaged 22ish from 19 odis at a strike rate of 61/62 yet they still recall him to the odi side but leave him out of the tests. genious decision.

they will slow down the run rate between YK, and Moyo and then poor afrdi will have no choice but to hit or miss

Richie Benaud says Butt's hit more fours - 9 - than singles - 8.played

now tell me there is something wrong
