Gotta give it to Aussies for turning out in large numbers to watch test cricket. Over 26k people today and even more expected over the next 2-3 days.
 
Amir back in rhythm, bowling 140 kph+ now comfortably. I can sense a wicket is coming soon:yasir

Now I don't want to remind you why Bob Woolmer picked a bowler Averaging 25 in Fc Season with a SR of 48 for a foreign tour and ignored a bowler averaging 12 and having a SR of 28 in the same Season.


Asif has bowled 3 out of the best 4 spells of fast bowling of QEA 2016-2017.

It's time for Asif comeback without any further delay.

No one needs to tie shoe laces of asif , I have sem him bowl in 120 kph this season and I see he fooled a lot of us against the poor quality batsmen. But the truth is he is lethargic in field despite our domestic matches only go on for 70 overs a day , can't handle the bat at all.

Mohammad Abbas can't tie his shoe laces because against the same batsmen he only has 8 five fors this season but ofcourse asif who couldn't get one five for has impressed us more.
 
And that is why you should always appeal even if it looks silly.

This could have turned the match around. What this tells us is that the Pakistanis are already mentally down. They are not alert enough on the field and except for a few, are going through the motions. Too bad. You make your own luck guys. Perk up. I hope somebody showed this on the stadium screen.
 
Pakistan team being brain dead as usual. This is the first day of the tour and there is no energy what so ever
 
Surely New ball under lights is a big bonus and Australia will be licking their fingers with runs on board
 
Match was even-stevens until dinner. This last session has massively gone aussies way unless at least 2 wickets fall down in the few overs remaining.
 
PCB should learn from other boards how to give opportunity to young player a captain. Misbah is old to learn how to lead the team with attacking mindset

For someone who started as a bits and pieces player, it is unbelievable how good Smith has become. Giving chances to such players is pure suicide.
 
Seen so many edges not carry which is shambolic in Australia. Probable fielders standing too deep and keeper is normally the person to lead the show here. The mindset is simply not helping the team

Such pathetic stuff from our fielders, everyone in our team except Amir, who has been EXCEPTIONAL.
 
Our players' body language is horrible. They look down and beaten, need to show more aggression :yk2
 
Looks like Australia wants to bat once and score 650+ and then force us to follow on

I have seen all Asif's spell ie visuals or final live. He was operating between 127 - 134 kph which is and was his usual speed. I did not see 120 kph before food poisoning episode.


Yes try this. Why was Asif picked ahead of Top 20 bowlers to wear Pakistan Star ? Was Woolmer unjust ? Didn't he follow Merit ?


Abass, Mir & Tabish of 2016 are equivalent of Shahid Nazir, Waqar Ahmed, Fazl e Akbar & Riaz Afridi of 2004-2005. Not only the averages & strike rates but Fivefers and tenfers aswell.


Cricketing selection is not just Stats based. You need an Eye. Woolmer had an Eye and so did Imran.

Smith has been beaten by Amir quite a few times. Even got 2 reprieves :amir2 :azhar2 . He has already won the game for Australia
 
Smith is a great player ,remarkable how Aus is now centered around Smith.
 
Double century for Smith as Oz will try to get to 600 by tea tomorrow.

Pakistan will be bundled out for 500 total over the 2 innings. They had a small window of a chance to compete but that's long gone.

And Butt has seen them through to Tea at 126-3 from 63 overs and is 60 not out after his first innings century.

Talk about saving your best for the Final!

125 from 79.5 overs (run out) in the First Innings and now 60 not out from 63 overs.
 
Australia dominated today. Hopefully, we can come back tommorow with some quick wickets in the first session tommorow

The decline of our Test started with the WI series. The signs were there to see for those who could see. We peaked in England and it was only downhill from there on. Things will only get worse when Misbah walks away.

2014-16, thanks for the memories. We must prepare ourselves for the worst now.

500 in 2 innings?? You are too generous. We have Shafiq, Younis, Sami, Sarfraz in our squad along with most useless tail. 250 is more than enough
 
Pakistan will make the rookies look like gold and gurantee their place in the team. Already Matthew Renshaw and Peter Handscomb. Tommorow, Maddinson and Bird will have their day to shine
 
Terrific performance by Smith and Handscomb. Pakistan have been thoroughly outplayed on this day. Hope they come back.
 
Pakistan haven't bowled that badly as made out to be. Things just haven't gone Pakistan's way.
 
Pakistan fielding as usual Mash-allah..

Its so easy to play big knocks against them. 2-3 dropped catches are guaranteed if batsmen manages to sticks there.

Aus well on top courtesy Smith brilliant century.

Expecting Pak to be 45-3 on day 2 stumps.
