Australia v Pakistan | 1st Test | Brisbane | Dec 15-19, 2016 | Day 1

Delaying Asif's rehab and entry into domestic cricket is costing Pakistan massively.

He could have helped us win 1 more test in England matching Chris Woakes. Would have been a Series win.

Here we are missing him with the new ball.

CS must understand that our main issue is New Ball bowling.

Let Amir, Wahab & Yasir dislodge the tail and let Asif dislodge top batsman of the opposing Teams as like previous and what exactly he is doing in Fc Cricket this year.
 
If we get smith it will go pretty quickly under lights,perfect time to come to bat will be tommorow around after the first hour

Well I'm talking about the crowd. England gives a traditional feel but cricket in Australia is like watching a football match. The structure of the stadiums help as well, they are pretty daunting and unlike any other cricket stadiums.

NZ stadiums are just too small.

talking abt stadiums. The Aussies ones are so massive that even with 25-30,000 theres many empty seats whereas in england thats more than a full house.

NZ seems very laid back atmosphere so i think best to enjoy a test match in stadium

He's scared to pitch it short because they will just play him of the back-foot and it will be difficult to get LBWs because of the extra bounce.

As a result, he's over-pitching it. Hasn't found the right length yet that will confuse the batsmen and pin him at the crease.

He got lucky with the wicket of Khawaja as well, that wasn't a wicket-taking delivery.

I think for a visiting team, the Australian stadiums can be daunting. Especially for us, I mean it's a different world to the empty blue seats and stuffed toys of the UAE.

Misbah isn't used to Queensland, but the sun is setting fast.

Does Misbah want to take wickets or contain, because Azhar and Rahat are not suitable for either.
 
Pak will never win anything overseas unless we find a good seaming all rounder. This is just hopeless team. What the hell is Nawaz doing in the squad with 7 left handers in Aus team. I can understand an off spinning all rounder but Nawaz is surely a big no

I m afraid I will hv to agree with you on this. He never had that international cricketer character and like u rightly said we have wasted 3 4 yrs on him. Has to be an end of the road for him but with pcb u nvr know.

Which Sami are we talking about? The only Sami I know is Sami Aslam.
 
Lets hope that this last session seems some sort of collapse and ball starts to do more under lights,
 
Unless you're playing 2 spinners in Asia, a four man attack is difficult to sustain especially with the big outfields and the heat of the Australian summer.
 
This is disappointing stuff from Pakistan, been very low intensity for a while including dropped catch and bowling changes not making sense. Azhar Ali shouldn't be bowling now.

True we saw the same problem in England where bowlers got tired during the later half of the day and we dont have any half decent all rounder
 
Going to be a long way back if we don't make some inroads in this final session under the lights. Australia look set for 350 and above.

Azhar's average being hampered because of Sarraz :kami , now will we see an article on Azhar or we only save these kinds of emotional atyachar for Amir
 
With this brainless combination we will ensure one of our key bowlers will be over bowling and may not last the series.
 
Unless we get 3/4 wickets more before close of play we are in big trouble already in this match after 1 day

Australia is unbelievably light in its batting by its usual standards. It's all about the top 5 (with 2 rookies even in that). The rest look shaky as hell. They are going to get marmalised if they bring this line up to India.

Azhar will have a lot of bowling to do. And only Asif can do the run-strangling role Amir did so well today.
 
Cricbuzz was saying that Gabba has a history of knees getting stuck in it.Poor outfield.ICC should abandon these type of stadium which doesn't have a basic facility.

Ha Ha as soon as Amir went down, the first thought in my mind was that now Junaids would recommend sending over Asif to OZ :yk3
 
This is where the Asif obstruction is so self-destructive.

He should have been there taking wickets with the new ball. Now you have to apply for a visa for him which could take several weeks.

I pray that the knee is not serious. Not just Pakistan, all of us neutrals need him to be OK as well for the sake of the cricket that is to be played. He and Wahab were the only ones on show today with their pace and bounce. Without him Pakistan will be in serious trouble.
 
For once I wanted to see Amir bowl under the lights :facepalm: Nothing going out way at the moment. I hope he's fine
 
Really hope that Amirs injury is not serious. puts more pressure on other bowlers in this 4 man attack as well.
