Australia v Pakistan | 2nd Test | Melbourne | Dec 26-30, 2016 | Day 1

I still have the CricViz app from the Eng Test Series, CricViz Predicting

Aus - 74.4% Chance of Winning
Pak - 24.1% Chance of Winning
Draw - 1.5% Chance

CricViz Score Predictions
Pakistan 1st Innings - 271 All Out
Australia 1st innings - 362 All Out
Pakistan 2nd Innings - 243 All Out
Australia 2nd Innings - 153/5 Win By 5 Wickets.

Also Australian fielding has saved 33 Runs today.

They do it on previous stats, which can't factor every subjective issues. If PAK does get 271 in 1st innings, it should be tougher than 74.4%. I still think, this inexperienced Aussie lineup will struggle if PAK can post anything over 270 in 1st innings. Probably, the biggest factor is how many wickets PAK bowlers will need to take to send 10 AUS batsmen back in 1st innings. If it's not more than 11, it'll be very close match, even for a 1st innings of below 250.

Many fans are forgetting the bold part here.

With all the moaning over YK and Misbah not scoring runs but what about Babar Azam who's place in the team was blocked by these two in England and who would have won us the series in England?
He has serious issues against spin and seems to me like a case of getting a test cap way too early, should be playing FC cricket

Playing his fifth test match, four of which have been played in the extremely foreign conditions of NZ and Australia.

Surely you cannot judge two decades old veterans with a rookie kid. That is unfair on the kid and letting the veterans of the hook.

Veterans have done A LOT for this country, is it fair to make fun of them like people does here?

Though Babar is not yet ready for Test cricket, have you seen how he plays spin?

It's the complete opposite.

He has played too much domestic cricket and started his Test career two years too late.

No young Pakistan batsman is going to improve playing domestic. They just develop bad habits.

Sami is not good enough. he is one of the most boring and limited youngster I have ever seen. Whole day tuk tuk to score mere 70+ or tuk tuk 50 balls to score 10

Younis Khan Down Under 2016-17: 102 runs, average 14.57
Misbah Down Under 2016-17: 64 runs, average 12.80
Babar Azam Down Under 2016-17: 198 runs, average 33.00.

Babar Azam's average and run output is more than Younis and Misbah COMBINED!

He is struggling but is not failing catastrophically.

This is why Salman Butt should have been in the squad, ready to step in at Sydney.

Sami Aslam's scores Down Under have been:

19 and 7
5 and 91
22 and 15
9

So he has 168 runs at an average of 24.00.

It's not great, but it is as good as Younis Khan and Misbah put together.

Test performances in NZ and Australia on this tour:

Younis Khan: 102 runs, average 14.57
Misbah: 64 runs, average 12.80

Babar Azam: 198 runs, average 33.00
Sami Aslam: 168 runs average 24.00
Azhar Ali: 247 runs, average 41.17
Asad Shafiq: 199 runs, average 33.17

Possibility of rain on all 5 days barring tomorrow..
It will be infuriating if we gets into a strong position in this game and then its rained off..

But you can not drop Younis and Misbah in test and Azhar in ODI. They have big supports
