Why the hell James Pattinson crying and moaning like a baby. Pure frustration. Chandrika ain't said a word to him and just because umpires didn't let the review happen as they took long he decides to give Chandrika a earful every ball. What a loser.

I watched that spell live, he didn't get one past 155 and randomly bowled one at 160kph.

Taylor played it with ease too.

In the same Test, Tim Southee was clocked at 150 kph.
The fact that he didnt get any ball past 160 or that taylor played it well doesnt mean that it wasnt 160 kph.
It is all about your action clicking at its best. Plus, taylor was in the zone where pace alone wasnt going to dislodge him.

The other recorded 160 kph deliveries also went by without much happening.
You can defend against extreme pace when you are in a focussed zone as your reflexes are already activated and you just react.
I say this after having played chuckers i in tape ball cricket from 18 yards where from side on you could hardly see the ball.
However, when you played them, you could get used to it

What a wonderful documentary on punta.
Making me want to pick up a bat and shadow practise.

Lol that is like if my dad started sledging me when I played with him at the age of 6 with that plastic ball in my tv lounge

Well, after the Gabba we actually did much better than that.

Bowled Aus out for 200 odd and had them 7 down.

Probably had the match too had it not been a poor DRS decision.

Wow you did better than the West Indies, well done here have a gold star.

they're gonna chase this and west indies cricket will be saved forever.

book it.

Blackwood to score a double and chase this down.

i really, really hope so, for the sake of cricket

whats the alternative? australia trying to push the fact theyre a good side some more by smashing a bad team at home when they can't a play a ball that moves more than a centimetre either in the air or off the pitch?

Australia should not be allowed to play at home until teams can beat them in Australia.

you're even worse than india 20 years ago, at least something akin to their rigged decks was to be found in other countries , and they weren't as hopelessly embarrassed abroad

Shameful stuff by the Aussies, makes you wonder why other teams even want to play them.

Another dodgy LBW decision going Australia's way, must be good having the umpires thinking the same way as your team.

yeah the aus home bias was always too gargantuan to be nullified by a dodgy camera

WI are giving Lyon a right royal thrashing.

61.1 Lyon to Holder, SIX, tossed up on off stump and Holder swats it high and long over midwicket. Just clears his front leg and hits with the turn

Impressive bowling from marsh and lyon on such a road, people love to talk about our batsmen cashing in on roads but funny they never then give extra praise to people like lyon bowling people out on those same roads, have to wonder whats the stats of other spinners round the cricket world would be like if they did most of their work on these tracks.

Ashwin averages something like 54.

Ashwin knows he gets to go home to rank turners as well, if he faced the prospect of a whole career bowling here he might just pull a swann and call it a day.

Lyon has done quite well really in away matches, 81 wickets @ 31 which is not bad at all, Ashwin has only 50 @ 36.

May 2012: The last time before this game that WI batted more than 80 overs in both innings of an overseas Test. Go figure.
