If Aussies manage to get more than 250 it should give the Aussies the edge.

Laxman is a second innings specialist, Aussies need a big lead for their worst nightmare. He's the Bevan of Test cricket

Aussies at most need to be 5 wickets down at the end of the day and ideally around three

Yep, Aus have at least 4 sessions to bat out. If they do so they will have a lead of around 450 to put India in for 4 sessions and bowl them out. This is the best batting day of the test so I back them.

450 is too much. 350-400 would be ideal to chase in 4 sessions.

Anything more than that you'll be forcing India to go for the draw and play negative.

I laughed when it said 4 tests under Shaun Udal's name lol get this nobody off the screen!

India have good bowlers this time though. Yadav is fast and talented and ZK is in full flow, so I wouldn't be surprised if they get Australia all out for 200.

Props to Andrew; Cricinfo

Andrew: "That's about 30 runs India should not have had, plus whatever Cowans and Hussey might have scored. No wonder the BCCI and our unbiased cricinfo commentator are so against the UDRS." Er, I am all for the DRS, Andrew. I am just bothered about the way it is implemented, with the limited reviews strategically used by teams and the third umpire having no say over the when a review is used. And if the cricketing world cannot agree on all the fancy technology that comprises the current DRS, why not have the bare minimum of a clear stump mic audio, the pitch mat and super

When was the last time Ind scored above 300in an overseas test?

Windies tests. Can't see a chase of 350-400

Definitely.

I'd Say a lead of around 250-300 would be sufficient for India.

Only to be assured of a win/draw, Australia should go for 350-400.

wow, just woke up and saw the famous indian collapse, congrats hillfy for his 5fer. Did he bowl good or there were loose shots played by indians.?

Good bowling by Hilf. Hit the deck hard and full and produced those edges to Haddin.

Fantastic effort by Australian's to grab initiative back.

The Aussie Collapse is ON!

150 or less will be the target for India, easy win for the Indians.

Two terrible dismissals but Indians are bowling well here

16/2 nazir and farhat gone ...a familiar scoreline. Here come inzi and Moyo to stabilize things..followed by a late flourish from Razzaq

Well our batting is predictable in its badness

On the CricIndia thing, does any Indian aside from one or two on here ever have an opinion that isn't dictated by BCCI? What a bunch of sheep, get some pride.

Malcolm Yadav causing problems here

have deep midwicket and bowl full and fast to ponting..no short stuffs please
