You should never play for the days, unless its an out and out batting track. This ones doing quite alot, and playing with the strategy you suggested would have been worse for India. Perhaps 30 or 40/5.

These young Indian batsmen Gambhir and Kohli would do well to emulate the greats in their team in actions as well. No hanging around when you are plumb, no pulling out when the bowler is running in. If it weren't for those players GG and Kohli would be playing in Hobart tests instead of on the biggest stage.
