where is that young australian left hand fast bowler who bowled against the kiwis....he seemed very exitcing fast bowler.

he should be in the aus line up.

A massive letdown for India, even a quick 50 by him would have changed things round.

Aus will look to strike again before lunch. Dravid would be massive.

Not officially, just a gentle word. :asadrauf

Ghambir is doing this purposely, he should pull out quicker or even better be ready and get on with it.

Pretty sure he just called a dead ball. And look at the replay, Gambhir didn't even look up until Hilfenhaus was about to bowl. Hilfenhaus has done this on several occasions with several batsmen now. He keeps trying to rush the batsmen, and they have the right to pull away.

Very good session for Australia. :14:

Siddle is yet to come on and Australian bowlers are looking fit and motivated. Hilfun needs to improve a bit but Dravid will be the key.

Please can someone provide me with a link to watch the Lunch break thing where Slater is there?

You can't blame a fast bowler for rushing a batsmen.lol From the time when the ball is dead the batsmen has more than enough time to be ready to face, this is how it's always been in test cricket. Spinners have to wait for the batsmen to be ready not pacers because they shouldn't need to.

Marius was inquiring why he's pulling away for this very reason.

First session toally dominated by Aus. problem with this wicket is that even if someone makes 50 they can still get out any time. If India gets a huge partnership upfront , only then there will be even a fight else I think game will be over today.

Can someone provide me with a link to watch the cricket show. They don't show it for UK viewers? Please?

tomo: "Regarding Gambhir backing away, it's NOT his right to back away if he's not ready - cricket etiquette is that if the bowler's ready, the batsman MUST be ready!!!" So you mean if he is not ready, he should still play at the ball and stand the chance of losing his wicket just because the bowler has slyly sneaked up on him?

How can CI be so biased. Yes Gambhir did not back away intentionally but neither did Helfenhaus sneak up on him. Gambhir's stance suggested he was ready and since Hilfenhaus was returning to his mark he was unaware that Gambhir was just practicing his motions so he proceeded with his run-up.

It is the batsmans responsibility to be ready to face when the bowler is at the top of his run up. There is plenty of time to get ready, Gambhir is just trying to be provocative.

I feel the same.
gamesmanship by Ghambir

No comment on this incident but I have seen Hilfenhaus sneaking in very quickly earlier as well. May be not intentionally but I have seen him doing so quite a few times. May be him having a short run up makes it possible so often.

I would not put past Gambhir to create this situation intentionally here though.
