What's new

Australia vs Pakistan | 2nd Test | Adelaide | Nov 29 - Dec 3, 2019 | Day 3 | Match Thread

Paine saying something like "We were 3 for 600 and they can't even get 300 for 6...". Annoying mouth.

Yasir planning to bat till the lights come on: will declare then and dismiss Australia for 50 to chase over the next two days

yes all pak bats should remember to keep your sentiments in mind while celebrating milestones.

Bhai. No hard feelings. I whole heartedly accept that he's one of the best batters in the world right now in all forms of the game. But , mentality is a whole different thing. May be he just resigned to the fact that he can't win games with the players around him. Team should always come first.

What a disgrace our pitches have turned out to be, disgraceful and embarrassing our pitches are like this, flatter than the Hume Freeway.

Honestly what's the reason Yasir Shah has scored some runs in this series so far, while our batsman couldn't?

Babar has been dismissed in the 90s 5 times over the past 14 months. :(

99 in a Test vs Australia.
92 in a ODI vs NZ.
90 in a T20I vs SA.
96 in the WC vs BD.
97 today.

Or you mean magic period ?

Yes. That magical period when the pink ball speeds up, bounces more and swings and seams in opposite directions in one delivery. Neither dogs can hear it nor bats see it then . A certain English poster can confirm it for us :srini

Lyon hasn't looked threatening at all. Don't know why he's still bowling.

Cummins has a much better chance of wiping the tail off.

Would you call it him just being unlucky or did he get too nervous?

It's our Asian weakness - we are too polite and cordial, treat guests as Gods. Next time these Aussies come to Asia, they should be treated equally .....

Almost 14 years back, we played a Test at Fatullah, against a truly ATG team ..... and somehow Shahriar Nafees scored a brilliant, brilliant 138 at 75 SR. This guy is son of an Army officer, taught in English medium, so he understands English.

Later, he once said that by Tea, he felt like throwing wicket and get back to dressing room - such was the filth of dirty Aussie mouth. Players in their mid/late 30s with 20 years career were throwing random filth to a 20 years old kid, playing 3rd Test for a minnow and his only fault was, he was spanking the likes of Warne, Gillespe, McGill, Lee .... started with his batting technique .... gradually went to his bad breath, his girl friend, ..... up to his mom & sister watching from stands.

At least for once I liked Shastri when he really rubbed sand papers on filthy Aussie mouth.......

Because:

Shadab Khan scored a fifty and took 4-80 two Tests ago. His replacement Iftikhar has managed no runs and no wickets.

Faheem Ashraf played that Test too and took 6-99. Three times as many wickets as Imran, Naseem, Abbas and Musa combined have taken in two Tests.

Honestly what's the reason Yasir Shah has scored some runs in this series so far, while our batsman couldn't?

Yasir Shah is a damn good Test package. Just because Shadab is a better fielder does not make him a better Test player than Yasir. He is good bowlers and a pretty good bat down the order. Not a bad fielder by any means. I don't understand why Pakistanis here looking for his head.

59 v Ireland
68* v England
99 v Australia
62 v New Zealand
127* v New Zealand
51 v New Zealand
71 v South Africa
72 v South Africa
49 v South Africa
104 v Australia
97 v Australia

Since May 2018, Babar Azam has only failed to make 49 or more in a Test match once

Kohli’s India will surely cover this. Up to bd and pakistan to pay back.. afghanis anyways have a big mouth so they are already ahead of the pack

What the hell top order doing on typical flat pitch.

Yasir Shah (132) is now second highest scorer for Pak after Babar(202)

Reminiscence of one great Indian, who also became too careful in 90s and ended with probably highest number of international 90s ......

Has there been a Misbah sighting since the tests have begun

Yasir should go crazy and try to score as many as possible in next 7 overs - PAK already have saved follow-on from Warner.......

I noticed that this is the first time you have posted today

Not any more. Ganguly changed that in early 2000. Under his influence even Tendulkar, Laxman, Dravid, Kimble was pretty harsh at times.

Indeed, he was dismissed 27 times between 90 and 99. 7 times in 2007 alone!

3 Mohammad Rizwan 132

For those who are telling Yasir should be kicked out of team, they are idiots:yasir.

Worst part is - they are coward, looses marble when chips are down. Once McGrath was hit for couple of boundaries by Sarwan ... so he asked him - how it tastes to suck Lara's C**k. Sarwan responded that, you should ask your wife .... and McGrath raised question of spirit .... because his wife was suffering from cancer!!!!!

Our Ashraful is B-kolom (can't speak even Bangla properly), but Bashar has a Masters from DU... so, in that famous game that we won, when Ash started his innings, Aussies started their antics - Basher told Ash that don't listen, keep playing your game ... Ash assured him that whatever they are talking, he didn't understand a single word.... But, Basher later said that at times he felt complaining to umpires.

Now, in last 50 runs when victory was insight, Ashraful started to respond Aussies based on their body language and facial reaction ... with his classic Dhakaiya vocabulary .. 'mathar - ch*d; Khank**r pola, tor ma re ....' - these are universal language - everyone understands. ... and he showed Hayden (or Ponting) handle of his bat in a strategic way, using his fingers of other hand nicely .....

As Basher told - Aussies became surprisingly silent that time ....... just like when they were caught read handed with sand paper.

This Kambakht Yasir is auctioning whatever sell vale Shadab still had .......

He needs to have a chat with Younis Khan asap.

Hes another sachin, its all about HIS century, does not matter about the match situation. Thats why sachin and now babar have been dismissed so many times in the 90s. Someone should ask babar, getting 100, when you are 400 runs behind with 4 wickets, is something to be proud of?
If no, why you got nervous?
We needed him to bat to the end, yasir was still there.

Thats why younis and kohli are kings, because they are/were team players.

It is like a disease now. All over the world teams are struggling to get tailenders out. I thought it was just the India.

I think it got something to do with bowlers not being able to do anything with older ball. Once the ball is 30 overs old batting becomes easier on flat decks.
