I feel like this draw definitely feels like a loss to Pakistan and a Win to Australia.

Besides, the Australian batting showed up in the second Innings.

They definitely have a chance to win the next test more than Pakistan do based on momentum

It will be glorious to see if Australia manage to win this.

Will give them supreme confidence for their summer season.

Both sides aren't capable of taking 20 wickets on a good batting deck, so whoever wins the toss will be the
favorite.

Something doesn't seem right with Pak. I said it before the series and will say it again but we will definitely told to their bowlers in one of the two innings in the next match

If Aussies bat first then it's game over for us

Shawn Marsh is the best player of spin in this Australian lineup. He failed in both innings and still Australia managed to draw the test. It will be difficult for Pakistani to win if he shows up in the next match.

I do worry that we will struggle if Aus win the toss and bat first.

If Australia win the toss! Then it will be 50-50, Shaun Marsh will come hard next time.

I feel Aussies will gain a lot of confidence drawing this Test. They may not win the decider but most likely won't lose it either.

Hmmm Pakistan have lost a solid opening bat in these conditions in Imam, due to injury.

But presumably they will pick another pacer over Wahab, which will likely be an improvement.

Yasir looks like he has bowled himself into form, after looking like he was a bit short of matchplay in the first innings.

Australia will have improved confidence and experience.

Theoretically the Marsh boys are due runs- but their careers are a litany of false dawns and disappointments.

Our ability to take 20 wickets remains the issue. I'll back Lyon to get among some wickets.

Not sure about Holland- if it's dusty he might just have a career best day and jag a fifer but realistically he's a chip in a couple of wickets kind of guy.

Siddle is not going to run through a lineup in the UAE.

We'll really rely on Starc trapping a batsman or two early with the new ball with his yorkers or driving at a sucker ball outside off. Then I still believe he is capable of running through a tail with reverse if we can get through to a tail while he is still relatively fresh.

There is a path for Oz to win- some luck for Starc early on, Lyon to do a job and pick steady wickets and either one of those to run off the tail. Wickets from the others will just help along.

But if they can regather, I still fancy Pakistan. Big test for Sarfraz & Mickey to pick the group back up. Realistically they had two inside edges bounce just wide of the stumps that would have ended the game, or had they declared 40 runs earlier, they would have probably had time to win it also. They outplayed Oz for 4 days, not the other way around.

This just sums up the equation. Great summary!

First things first. For any team to win a match, Pakistan needs to get out of this 3 decades only mentality of producing phatta wickets. No point having a good bowlers if you ain't going to give them a good wicket to bowl on.

The PCB does not control the wickets produced in the UAE.

Who is your replacement captain?

Please dont say tactically handicapped Azhar Ali.

No don't like Azhar at all. Make someone like Yasir shah or take a punt with haris or imam. I know they haven't played much.

I think it does for test matches based upon several media reports.

I’m pretty sure they don’t as the England series in 2015 had real “phatta” wickets and the PCB along with its players were not happy.

As head curator of the Pakistan Cricket Board , he was over to cast an eye on the surfaces the Tests will be played on in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. As Pakistan are the "hosts" it was a routine visit to make sure, as any home curator would, that all was well.

It's an old article but u get the drift...PCB has the right to prepare pitch as per it's wishes.

The article states that the coach and board requested a "good, sporting wicket". Not descriptive enough.

The PCB has been largely unhappy with the pitches produced but did not make a great fuss about it because we never lost.
