What's new

Avengers: Infinity War (Discussion thread)

She hasn't had a movie yet, so this will be interesting. Hope they pull off her personality and character well, one of my favourite Marvel characters.

I hope she doesn't die/dissipate like Black Panther, Gamora and Spider-Man though!

Am sure majority of them will be back soon enough; the entire thing was just to get a cheap pop out of fans and to create extra hype for the sequel. Otherwise it didn't really move me :mv I think if it mattered they'd have made a bigger deal out of it within the plot, but it would cheapen the characters to do it in a super-friends group movie especially those which are expected to lead the new phase of MCU movies. Loved the way Logan was handled though,

Yeah they should be, though I do think some like Vision and Loki won't be (or for a long time anyway).

I reckon one or two of the original avengers, incidentally they all survived in the first movie, will be killed off permenantly in the second movie.

My money is on Captain America and Tony Stark...

Cap hasn't done anything of significance in a while, so I wouldn't even mind. As for Tony, didn't Dr Strange's vision show he had to survive to beat Thanos, which is why he gave Thanos the stone to stop Thanos killing him?

Her movie will be set in the 90’s..she is supposed to be a bada**

Looks like you have not watched Dr Strange

Basically everything built up since Avengers 2, Hulk not being here, stuck on another planet can be undone in a jiffy. This is me trying to be logical without thinking that these movies aren't based on real life, and just from a comic book movie's perspective.

Going by the comments on this thread, I think most viewers are not Marvel comic readers. For me, as far as comic adaptation goes, this was a neat effort but clearly not Marvel's best work (maybe a close second). Winter Soldier is actually the best marvel movie to date as it has fabulous choreographed H2H combat scenes which I thoroughly enjoyed.

As for Infinity War I am still waiting for Adam Warlock to make an appearance given he was central to the plot line of the Published Infinity Gauntlet series in 1991 :rahat

Thoroughly enjoyed Winter Soldier, Black Panther and Iron Man 1

My top MCU movies:
Tier 1 (GOAT)
1. Avengers: Infinity War
Tier 2 (Great)
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
3. Marvel's The Avengers
4. Captain America: Civil War
5. Thor: Ragnarok
Tier 3 (Decent)
6. Black Panther
7. Doctor Strange
Tier 3 (Mediocre)
8. Avengers: Age of Ultron
9. Spider-Man: Homecoming
Tier 4 (Below-par)
All of the others are quite below-average films. It's no secret that Marvel has improved a lot over the past few years.

Watched it. One of the worst installments in the Avengers series and quite at the bottom of the pile of worst superhero movies, on par with Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad etc.

I’d say

1. Logan (technically not MCU but was a marvel movie)
2. Infinity war
3. Civil war
4. Winter soldier
5. Avengers 1
6. Ironman and GoG films
