He's not my hero, infact noone in the team is.

My view was simple, he has done his time and deserves to be back. Anyone who's against that can show their high morals by not cheering his wickets when he inevitably takes them. If he drops a catch or gets run out then nothing to it, unless you're suggesting he's still planning to fix? In which case I urge you to contact ICC's anti corruption panel in haste.

Lastly, this is not an Indian matter, as your people remind us on every turn when its the other way around. Keep out of it.

Noone would begrudge them their 'right', atleast not me. However there is a way to do it, talk to the PCB privately instead of making a public tamasha. When our own captain is doing that its a terrible example.

Amir is here to stay , Hafeez is trying to do face saving thats all.good on him if he feels that by tweeting this and taking U-Turn of joining camp makes him feel calm than let it be.

The question is who is he to decide that? If he has notions about a moral high ground a player has to achieve, then something is not right.

In my view, we can lose Hafeez for Amir but not Azhar which of course means that losing both for Amir is out of question.

Well I think Amir is a good talent but not the second coming of Wasim as some portray him to be. I also don't subscribe to theory that he would have been the number one bowler today if he wouldn't have been banned. So far he hasn't shown anything that he is a bigger talent than someone like Starc or Boult (will probably never be close to the former in ODIs) but even if he's at their level, he's still miles better than what we've got included Wahab 'bang it short' Riaz, so his ability is not an issue. He already looks a better bowler than any of our current pacers.

As far as losing Hafeez is concerned, he has been a comprehensive player in the last 5 years but he's nearly 35 now and doesn't bowl anymore. He has been brilliant as Test opener this year but he is not consistent enough in ODIs and T20s.

Azhar on the other hand is our second/third best Test batsman and is on course to playing 100 Tests for Pakistan. So if it is between Hafeez and Amir, I can sacrifice Hafeez for someone who can lead our bowling attack for 10 years, but not Azhar.

I said Hafeez can be sacrificed because he has no long term future at 35 but Azhar is only 30 and next Test captain. Completely different things.
