I rate that innings quite highly because the dukes ball moved around for longer periods and Pakistan were down after a thrashing at OT. The partnership between Azhar and Sami lifted the team again.

This innings was of great temperament. But it didn't prove anything new. Azhar is a solid batsman . Best in Pakistan. As for pitches it is a drop in pitch and look for how Sohail and Amir batted.

I remember a few Babar Azam fans saying Azhar looks like a tailender when you compare him to Babar as a batsman who is 10 years younger than him but looks so at ease against bowling..

This was during the time when Pakistan was playing WI, and Azhar was getting out repeatedly against them.. until he scored a 100 in the final ODI, but even that 100 was dubbed 'against WI' in a dead rubber etc etc.. all those posters were like Azhar should be kicked out ASAP and Fakhar Zaman brought in his place..

Just because it is Australia doesn't mean it is difficult to score runs. Kohlis best innings according to me is the Wanderers 100 ,when the pitch was juicy and bouncy. Also against Steyn ,morkel and philander in full flow.

Adelaide one was also tricky cause it was turning sharply. All other centuries in Australia a good batsman can score. I rate his Perth 77 little more .
