Babar Azam must captain in the PSL to justify his captaincy for the Pakistan national team

Also why is Rizwan Pakistan’s T20 wicket keeper batsman even though he has been released by KK the champion side?

Come on already man..Rizwan literally played well in his last innings for the national team, one of the best chases by a Pakistani. Who cares if he doesn't play in the Pensioner's Super League?

Do people want the national team to make decisions based on what the psl franchises are doing? Then time to get test specialists and TTFs into the T20I side ahead of deserving players.

I agree Babar should captain KK. He was the main reason they won the PSL.

But, Babar deserves to captain the national side regardless of what happens in PSL and he will remain the captain for at least couple of years unless he doesn't want the captaincy anymore.

He should be captain at a franchise but KK won't get rid of Imad after he was the captain for their win.

Babar won't captain KK because Imad brought them success in the last season. Imad's captaincy wasn't bad either, so unless he makes some glaring mistakes as a captain or player, I see no reason to take captaincy away from him.

Babar should play and try to focus on his batting so that he can improve on that front rather than captain a franchise.

The only justification Babar needs to give for his captaincy is when he is actually captaining Pakistan.

Ideally he would be captain of the Kings, but it doesn't really make a difference.

This is a non-issue, lets not artificially make it one.

Have been saying that for a while now. There is not a single league around where captain of the national team (Now of all 3 formats) doesnt captain a franchise. PCB needs to interfere here by putting a condition in Babar's PSL contract and I am pretty sure still almost every team would love to have the most valuable player in Pakistan in their team even as captain.

What happens in PSL shouldn't matter for international cricket. Imad is a successful captain at KK so there's no need to remove him.

By the time we get to Pakistan games we should have two/three competent captains with Babar having the final say.

Captaincy only improves when you captain more and learn form experience. All the international captains do not play under any other captain.
If babar is not captaining in leagues , specially the home league with international stars, how he is gonna polish himself as a captain and earn command and respect from team member while leading the national side?

It’s only a matter of time till Imad’s knees give way to that beer belly of his and he falls unfit. Babar will captain at some point in the season but yes he should’ve moved away to take on a full time captains role.

Imad is the far superior captain and franchises pay big money, so obviously they want success.

Babar is the only main stay of the national team, hence being given the captaincy.
