Pakistan's ODI squad for the series against Zimbabwe was recently announced in which Babar Azam was selected, but subject to fitness. So who might possibly replace him if he does not recover in time? Or will the team-management not name any replacement and play the series with 15 men?

I like Babar, but until he scores impact runs against the big guns he won't truly take a leap into a being a WC batsman. If we want to see him as a tier 1 batsman, that's what he has to do.

Some players are better off playing the second fiddle role and quietly getting the job done. Keep in mind during CT final when Fakhar was going all guns blazing Bobby quietly hit a 45 odd at great SR. Not many ppl know that.

This is why ppl are often surprised when they see Babar's ranking or record because he doesn't come in the limelight but does what the team needs. A guy like KL Rahul would hit a 70 ball 100 in an ODI and receive praise from all and sundry but fail often, however, Bobby might hit a 50(60) type innings match after match and nobody even realize it.

Yeah at the moment Babar seems to be trending more like Kane Williamson/Root then a Kohli/ABD ... that's fine given our standards but his talent level is such I expect more
