There are also unconfirmed reports of Shaheen Afridi being appointed as LQ captain and Hasan Ali as PZ captain. If it's true then probably we will have following captains in upcoming PSL:

KK: Babar
MS: Rizwan
IU: Shadab
QG: Sarfaraz
LQ: Shaheen
PZ: Hasan

Other than Sarfaraz, all the captains are top Pakistan players. QG need to rethink their approach and appoint someone on merit as captain, even if it's an overseas player.

It will also be interesting to see if any team approaches or appoints Mathew Hayden and Vernon Philander in any role because they had an impressive stint with the team.

Babar has really stood up since Misbah has left.

Frankly him playing under Imad was an embarrassment. But since the T20 World Cup, it’s like he’s become a different person/ captain. With actual authority and presence.

Its no secret Misbah was doing him no favours. Babar was lucky with Mickey who allowed him to blossom into a world class player but Misbah held back his captaincy for a while.

Interesting to see him lead Karachi now.

His frustration was all fine.. If a cricketer can't assess such situation where they have to form a partnership and he played a rash shot so you can't smile at such situation where you're 50 odd for 5

Yes his innings wasn’t enough on a 190 wicket simply not good enough to score as he did batting in the powerplay overs.

Him and Rizwan will be opening at the world T20 and that already lessens our chances in high scoring matches against better teams you need power hitters.

Our fast bowlers look like they struggle for control against better batsmen on flat wickets it makes thing tougher if the batsmen are not putting up enough runs.

Just 3 games he captained in national t20 competition azwell for couple seasons but I don't think he promoted himself up the order in them competitions to.
