This is bad defensive thinking. This is not gully mohalla cricket, its all about performance. It is clear that Babar is not good enough for the job. He has not won a single test at home in our bumper season against Australia, England and NZ and his captaincy is just getting worse day by day rather than improving. No professional organization will keep such an individual in charge indefinately. Ready made replacement or not, the job needs to be given to someone else who can inject fresh ideas and energy in the team. It is the same exact situation England found itself under Joe Root.
It's the reality unfortunately.
Test captaincy isn't a job that you just hand out like a gift.
