Babar Azam "The turning point of the match was the dropped catch of Matthew Wade"

I am now hearing David Warner was not out ? apparently there was no edge ? can someone confirm please.

Had Warner stayed for a little longer I think Pakistan wouldve had no chance to win it.

Hmmm, bit disappointing that a balanced guy and a modern great like Azam would throw his team mate to the sharks.
When ALi dropped the catch, the equation was 20 off 10. The match was 80-20 aus then. The batsmen had crossed over. Stoinis might have won the match, maybe not with 3 sixes but end of the day, aus won with 6 balls, one whole over to spare.
put that into context, that dropped catch didnt cost the match - its failing to back up superlative bowling by shadeb khan, bowling too short that cost you.
One thing that comes out of the semis is indian and pak media and fans are so same. We all live the last ball and our memories only stretch to the last ball. The thirst for a scrapegoat is always there.
I know Hasan ali has not had a great wc, but he is a champ, bowls with passion, is a lion heart and i have no doubt he willbe back.
cut some slack, spare the hatred and support your team. They played like champs - all the best from an indian fan.

That's too many ifs and buts, top teams know they can knock off these runs if they still have a few wickets in hand going into the last few overs.

Better to try and get into the green zone, this is what the top tier teams try to do.

Well in short Hasan ali should stopped for 2 overs only. Extra 2 or more overs of spin was needed and Pakistan went with the blueprint wat was planned before the match and lost it.

Note Hafeez legal deliveries went for only 6 runs in 6 balls. Imad bowled a very tight on his 3rd over, Aus were reeling with last pair in the crease with 80 more runs to get in 7 overs.

Damn. Babar just throw Hasan under the bus.

His and Rizwan's slow batting is the main reason Pakistan was not able to post a winning score for Australia. Pakistan bowling was still able to make out a very challenging match. If Finch was not out in 1st over, Australia would have won this match in 16 overs.

First inns batting in Dubai is not easy , you could have seen that in all matches played there. Teams looking to aim at 195 in the start makes only 130 , teams who preserve wickets in the first 10 overs go on to make 170+ , on both semi and final wat Pak and NZL did were the same.

Example is the India match where they realised a bit late that this is not 190+ wicket and then made 150 only. 176 was the highest total made in that ground for team batting first I think.
