In 1984 Bob Geldof and others performed a song to feed famine hit Africans. I cant recall but by all accounts it was a huge hit.

Now we have a new version for the UK. !! lol.

This is absolute lunacy!

UK is in serious decline but isnt anywhere near the poverty of 80's Africa.

Secondly , these celebs are taking the mick out of everyone. Dancing , singing while drinking expensive champagne while making a song for charity?

Anyone else find this distasteful and extreme? Surely it would be better to state the truth, the debt, borrowing along with anti-Russian sanctions are the reason for the economic issues here.

I think the celebs are lookalikes but agree with the overall point.

Its madness that we have come to this.

I dont follow such celebs but thanks for pointing this out.

Do you feel the UK is poor & the government cant feed its citizens?

Btw Merry Xmas to you and your family.

An insult and an abomination to the 1984 original.

No originality, just woke promo material.

Bob Geldof's song was a first, raised a lot of awareness. Imo Michael Jacksons Man in the Mirror was also similar although not directly asking funds but this is some sort of sick joke.

There are nearly 3000 food banks in the UK. While the UK has given Ukraine over £2.3 billion, which would have stopped all these food banks from opening.

UK has gotten to a point it has no values, no identity, no principles - other than war!

The 80s I would say was the beginning of the end in the UK. Since then quality in celebrities has been down hill, quality in arts down the pan, and society polarised.

I just cannot believe UK citizens are happy to be brainwashed into thinking funding a war is a moral duty above feeding the hungry in the UK.

As for Micheal Jackson. THE GOAT! :)

Bandaid from its live shows made $150 million. I cant see this project coming anywhere close!

Europeans need to wake up! Elderly freezing, kids on the streets, homelessness expanding etc. But its all ok as long as the corrupt nation of Ukraine is being given weapons. USA has now given/pledged $100 billion!

Soon we need a thread on Michael Jackson v anyone GOAT. : )

Mist people are skint, so yeah, cannot see this lunacy project raking in more than $50M - and this is adjusting for inflation.

Would love a thread on MJ. There is no disputing, he was, is, and will remain THE GOAT. His songs are making more money now than he was alive!

They should add MJ holograms to this abomination attempt, will 100% boost income!

I think you're referring to 'We are the World' single in 1985 organised by MJ. Never again will you see so many music legends packed into one room. Good song too.

Too bad Bob Geldof failed as a performer himself. Apparently this guy was proud for never have had a bath for over 5 years!:hasan The best version is the one the American's told it's best slaves the Brit's to do! This "special relationship" we keep hearing about the two is essentially a slave-master one.

Man in the mirror record sales were donated to a kids cancer charity. But yes you are correct 'We are the World' sales were donated to Africa.

Michael Jackson is in the Guinness book of records for the artist who supported the most charities. Its estimated he has donated over $500 million!

Music artists of today suck. No originality, very little talent. All they do to lecture their fans on woke propaganda.

I remember watching the legendary Live Aid concert from 85. So many great acts performed, with Queen stealing the show. Now who do we have? Taylor Swift? Drake? Justin Bieber? KSI? What a decline is the quality of music artists.
