5 down and it's becoming one sided, as expected PAK E is folding against Nayeem. Tanvir still has 4 overs.
Another domestic flat track bully fail to an unknown bowler.
Most of them are just domestic bully and its better CS should look some other players. They are worse than our current batch of LOI players.
137/6!!!
Someone was asking Pakistan to finish the game within 40 overs!!! Hopefully they will!!!
No matter if any supporters don't know Nayem!! But Pakistan E team should know!!Relax, hardly anyone knows Naeem here.
No matter if any supporters don't know Nayem!! But Pakistan E team should know!!
He played against WI & took 5 wickets in first innings!!! Now a days every team do homework against opposition!!!
I doubt if PAK National team does bother much about home work!!!! Current CS, took a Test to Day 5 for 20 minutes knowing 80% chances of thunderstorm, because he didn't know the 30 minutes extension rule!!! Some of the DRS calls actually confuses me, if they are clear about LBW rules or not!!!!
Very shocking indedd!!
In one post I saw someone telling, pak might take this match lightly as they are qualified already!!! Shouldn't take BD seriously???? As they lost against BD few match lately!!! Isn't it a matter of pride & ego????
Zakir Hasan. One to look out for post 2019 wc. Especially at t20s.
People rave on here about guys like Zeeshan Malik and Saud Shakeel as if they are the best. I have no doubt that these two would be exactly like their predecessors and that is mental softies. They are coming out of the same system that has produced Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Haris Sohail, Shan Masood etc. In the last 10 years we have not had one mentally tough batsman. So to expect Zeeshan and Saud are different is a folly. You cannot expect a diamond coming out of a candy machine. It will only produce candies.
While our domestic system was never good, you have to see that at least players that were the products of 80's and 90's domestic were the best we've had in the past 30 years, both in terms of skills and mental toughness. Since 2005, we have produced softies of the highest order. It's no wonder that Shoaib Malik is one of our best batsmen in ODIs and T20s even now. He was a product of the 1990s. Younis Khan and Misbah were product of the 1990s. Something went seriously wrong after 2000 in the domestic system.
PCB will have to take a serious look at why Pakistan is not producing mentally tough as well as skillful players. You could see the lack of skill evident in the 1st test against NZ when Azhar Ali - a veteran of almost 70 tests - could not place the ball in the gap for a double or hit a boundary. If PCB embarks on reforming the domestic system right now and in the process does it the way it needs to be done by focusing on quality, Pakistan will start producing good cricketers after 10 years. Until then, Pakistan will remain a fledgling, middling team with modicum of success here and there. The quality has been so bad that we are not even producing quality fast bowlers - a trait that was synonymous with Pakistan. India's fast bowling riches are greater than Pakistan. Never thought you would have lived to see that day.
Looks like our future team will be a true minnow and even Afghan bros will bah these trundlers like no tomorrow. Our future is just scary.
Pakistan cricket is going West Indian way

I have explanations for you last 2 para, but not now.
Coming to the mental toughness, not considering domestics (that's given, can't change overnight), it's elementary that these players should be brought in National team at younger age so that they can develop on job at highest level from early age. One of the main reason for this timid nature is that they play too many soft games and the gap (with Internationals) is too wide to bridge. If there was no "Imam issue", I am sure Ul Haq would have picked bid Ali for SAF, a guy now 31+, born like at 5-6 years of age - how this guy is going to be mentally tough against Rabad, Styen when he has been playing Aizaz Cheemas for his life time?
There are many issues to fix, but if I were to pick one, I would have slashed the average age of the squad by at least 5 years, if not 7 - couple of years of downward lope in ranking/result (can't go much lower from Asia Cup or losing to Kiwis in UAE), things can improve, at least we can hope. Taking MoHa, Malik, Sarfraz to WC isn't going to improve much.
In that case, Imam being in the squad is a good thing as he can only get better by playing the likes of Rabada's, Boult's and Steyn's. People might not agree but I believe Imam is still better mentally than any of our present lot. Imam's problem is technical. His technical game isn't top notch and that's why he is failing at the Test level. He needs a good coach. I don't think Grant Flower has done anything great in his tenure. His tenure should be judged on the performances of the batters overseas and overseas everyone's crumbled.
For the WC, MoHa has his uses even now. He hasn't been used correctly. At this stage of his career, MoHa needs to play the finisher role at number 6 where he gets to play the old ball that is literally not swinging or seaming and also has the license to go after the bowling. When he's opening, he doesn't have the game to weather the new ball and he gets double minded as to whether to defend or play shots to give the team a good start. Number 6 is perfect for him. Malik is our best batsman. He needs to be at the WC. Period. Sarfraz needs to be dropped. Doesn't provide anything useful to the squad. Doesn't score runs and his captaincy is pathetic. Malik as captain would be a better bet for the WC.
Who won the match?
Wow, it seems Bangladesh will soon be worthy of being invited by Pakistan. Good signs.
Soon being worthy?
Didn't we just beat Pakistan with our B team in their home turf?
Same BD team had lost to UAE
Pak have become BD's bunnieslosing to them at every level
It's an Emerging Cup, therefore one should use full squad - unless you go to the same route of one troll here and "take it Pakistan lost to Bangladesh", just like "Bangladesh lost to UAE". It was a right call, but should have used proper bowlers during BD innings - also picked that Shafqat guy, not sure for what purpose.
However, technically PAK wasn't through yet - for the sake of saying, UAE beats HK inside 25 overs and PAK loses to BD by 150+ margin, in a 3 way tie, NRR comes and PAK could have missed out.
That was not our home and bangladesh were not with their B team.If one player or two missing it B team then i think it was.Bangladesh is better than pakistan in tests and ODI in Asia with out a shadow of doubt.Good luck.
It doesn't take long to fix few things if the mass interest there. WIN is suffering because the interest has shifted from the youth of a 1.2 million population base. PAK is suffering with a 23 crore cricket mad population base because of different reason, which can be fixed. Though, must say Inzamam Ul Haq type of appointment doesn't encourage me much.
you do realize 4 in form player was rested for this match as pakistan have already qualified to next stage and they were giving a opportunity to test the bench

Journalists fighting with each other... surely there can be some methodical manner to conduct these pressers.![]()
Very rude from the journalist. Rizwan should have put him in place right there. Players are afraid of media related people it seems.
He was yelling at a fellow journalist for not letting him ask questions, this is why it's a must to have a manager overseeing pressers or media talks.
