The Afghan players have all the support from the government and private companies that ICC funding isn't a big deal for them. Unlike other associates, the Afghans are full time cricketers and have been since at least til 2009. Most of their players practice 6-7 hours a day 6 days a week. All the players are rewarded with a car as well.

They lost just for the lack of experience. We went through that phase several times (still not over). This game is not about only skills or power, it's dominated by mental toughness. Also, Afghans miscalculated their chase - should have been targeted around 70 in last 10 overs, now that there are 5 fielders out. I don't think, they have played many with this revised rule.

But, yes, going forward, it'll be tougher for them.
