BPL is starting tomorrow and their are plenty of Pakistani players are

participating in it.

Shoaib Malik, Imran Khan Jr. - Chittagong Vikings

Sohail Tanvir, Imad Wasim, Khalid Latif, Shahzaib Hasan, Ahmed Shehzad - Comilla Victorians

Mohammad Asghar, Junaid Khan - Khulna Titans

Mohammad Sami, Umar Akmal - Rajshahi Kings

Shahid Afridi, Nasir Jamshed, Anwar Ali - Rangpur Riders

Rumman Raees - Barisal Bulls

Usama Mir - Dhaka Dynamites

As much as I would like to appreciate the talent Pakistan has, the likes of Jamshed and Junaid Khan are not going to help the league at all. Both have been off-form for such a long time. 3 years back, BPL teams would kill to simply have Junaid Khan in their ranks. BTW, don't expect Khalid Latif or Shahzaib Hasan to get a game because the same team has Tanvir, Imad, Zaidi, Samuels, Narine, Shehzad

I am shocked that Hafeez didn't get picked.

The issue with BPL is that the owners have limited knowledge on international cricket themselves. They are usually advised by mediocre local coaches who don't understand "T20 cricket". Not an expert but if was an adviser for the BPL teams I could helped them sort out a good combination of players who are both "well-known" and "qualified" to win you matches.

Well to pick Asghar and Usama Mir they have more knowledge than you think.

Picking up shahzaib was goood call, he in good form and more leaner,fitter.
Disappointing was Khalid latif,jamshed and couple of srilankans

Their are many picks available like Hafeez, Tendoeschate, Charles, Cremer, some Afghanistan players, James Vince

khalid latif has been in good form off lately and he would like to prove himself as a good t20 player to further strengthen his place in pakistan t20 side so i think if given a chance he ll perform

this is Nasir jamshed overall record in BPL history so make sense

Also Nasir Jamshed was Pakistan's best batsman in LOI in 2012-13. Now he doesn't get picked in the PSL even. Past performance counts for nothing.

He probably did well in the first two seasons, which was a while back and he was in good touch. Jamshed of the last 2-3years has been awful and in last years BPL was hard to watch with an avg sr of 89 in 3 matches

Sorry bro but in a league where Samuels is forced to sit down and Hafeez, Tendoeschate don't get picked we need not have a foreign player who doesn't get selected for his own domestic competition just on the basis of his past.

One advantage of playing in UAE is that it never rains....
 
This is rain is painful. There is no heavy rain, just slight drizzle yet relentless.

I believe he is talking about the famous NFL team Oakland Raiders. Can't find any team by that name in the BPL

I still think that he can do very well for us in T20s. IMO He should be in our T20 side.

They are the cheapest team in the competition.

What really shocks me is that they didn't play Cooper and Fletcher.
 
BTW, I just saw a Junaid's bowling in slow motion and it seems as if he has been straightening the arm.

Looks questionable his action although can't comment whether the straightening is as much as 15 degrees

Why squads are so unbalanced?
And why on earth they have players like Gleeson as overseas players?

Squads are unbalanced because there is no real cap or minimum expenditure amount declared by the BCB. Some franchises spend upto 2 USD, some around 1 USD.

Some teams have resorted to buying cheap players eventually when a lot of quality players went unsold. Hafeez, Tendo, Charles, KOB, Afghan pacers.

Security reason also played a part here. Now that England tour went smoothly and BPL-4 should go well as well, then you can expect much better players

Shehzad is injured, the others aren't getting selected because of the available foreign talent.

was very unlucky!! Even an umpire of school level wouldn't do this mistake of giving him out!!!

I don't have a problem with any of our players playing in any of these leagues but I think pcb shouldn't have allowed some of these players such as Ahmad shazhad and umar akmal to skip the QEA trophy to play Bpl.

They're already out of the team and skipping important first class matches is not going to help them improve.
