I want to talk about an important issue which is the integration of Bangladeshi leg spinners in BPL. As we all know, leg spinners are trending these days in cricket. Now, why didn't the Bangladeshi leg spinners get picked in the BPL draft ? They should have been picked for the greater purpose of Bangladesh cricket. If you don't give chances to the young leg spinners like Jubair Hossain, Rishad Hossain in the BPL, then how will they come through the ranks ? It's disappointing.

Following are some scattered takeaways from me after watching BPL:

1. Sylhet Sixers should play Ebadat Hossain. I want to see how this young quick performs. Heard some good things about him.
2. Mahedi Hasan (Not Miraz) is good.
3. Rony Talukdar looks good in T20. Zunaed Siddique, Shafiul Islam & Taijul Islam has got T20 potential as well.
4. It's important that the local batsmen start scoring runs. So far, guys like Tamim Iqbal, Litton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Nurul Hasan etc haven't performed.
5. I guess Cox's Bazar has airport, hotel & stadium. Is it possible to stage matches there ? Can someone shed some light ?
 
Forgot to mention Nayeem Hassan. He's also been good.

With Friday being a holiday in Ban, I would like to suggest stage 3 matches (triple header) in Friday by sneaking in a match in the morning at 9/9.30/10 AM start. You can cut the afternoon match of Thursday/Saturday so that the players involved in the Friday morning match can relax a bit. In case of Dhaka, the Friday morning match can be staged in Narayanganj Fatullah stadium (it has already hosted international matches) if there are issues regarding too much pressure given on the Mirpur Dhaka ground because of hosting triple header. I have seen that Australia hosts 3 Big Bash matches (triple header) on their holiday Sunday. By doing so, they can capitalize on increased audience interest & attendance.

From my understanding. Coxs Bazar has all the accommodations needed, airport in place but Stadium isnt upto the mark yet. They need to sort it out, just built stands on one side and leave one side with grassbank view of the sea beach! That shouldn’t take long to make. One side with two tier stand or one long high one, other side grassbank, media and grand stand, total capacity 15-25k be fine for now.

Don't know much about these bowlers but from what I have seen, these are their typical speeds, nothing extraordinary. However, they are all physically very well built bowlers. There are no consistent 140K bowlers which means more hammering for BD in tests especially on away tours.

Can't understand why Dhaka Dynamites is playing Rasooli & Huhn ahead of Zazai & Pollard ! Have Zazai & Pollard left or injured ?
 
Can't understand the point of giving the last over to an inexperienced Mohor over Russell that too bowl to Frylinck. This decision of Shakib baffled me.

Ha you are right. There is also that Khaleel Ahmed from India, so it is confusing. They are being saved for playoff games I think.

Abu Jayed isnt that impresive to be honest. I would not pay too much attention to wickets in T20.

However right now I would expect pace bowling to significantly improve after inclusion of Sylhet stadium.

So far here are the fastest I seen them bowl.

There’s many BD fans, BDians here but hardly anyone messaging about BPL. Shows something. No its not the league the issue, it’s called feeling insecure, feeling some sort of inferiority complex.

You’re product is your product, it’s not outsiders product. (No I didn’t copy that dialogue from Race 3). Everyone has their own ways.
BPL has benefitted Bangladesh cricket and that’s what matters. It is however unfortunate it’s not fully riched it’s potentially due to one big thing. It’s not properly home and away (games being played at the right home and away venues), it’s played in three venues which is neutral to most of them unless its the home side playing. Due to lack of infrastructure, accommodations, and issues with logistics, in most of those cities. Only these places: Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Coxs Bazar - have everything; Airport, stadium, 5 star hotels.

But even then the crowds come big numbers. In all the venues crowds is great for even neutral games.
 
Yesterday. Rangpur Riders scoring 239. 2 hundreds one by Alex Hales other by R Rossow (it’s only the 3rd time in T20 history where two batsmen scoring hundreds same innings for the same team) absolutely brilliant stuffs, highly entertaining, biggest score in BPL history. They sure are a powerful team lead well by Mashrafe who has been bowling superb too and his team.


My home team Sylhet Sixers getting few wins lately, ey.. but why did Waqar Yunus not select Jason Roy against Khulna 2 games ago? It was must win game and J saw Roy was on the bench. Opening with Sabbir Rahman is the most idiotic decision ever, Sabbir is a middle order batsman who over batted at 3 for too much.
There’s an outside chance for Sylhet providing outhers lose.
