exactly, they did the same during ct25 spreading fake news. its hard to work out if Indians are fools or act fools that they fall for any fake stuff that comes out of their media.

Cricinfo got ruined a long time ago. I no longer read their articles. I just check scores.

BCB has shown some backbone by raising some concerns to ICC which is absolutely understandable. However, they need to de-escalate this now, and get on with the show. However, for future ICC tournaments held in IND, they need to have some sort of backup plan for PAK/BD/SRL. Also, BCCI need to reduce political influence in sports. Just because you have power doesn't mean one can abuse it.

A good post and enjoyed reading this, instead of the usual gayhaaji default stuff that gets thrown about here.

To borrow a line from spiderman movie 'with great power comes great responsibility' and i so wish my board - BCCI followed that more stringently - not to say they are not following already - the amount of help they give to associate nations is many times more than 'several other boards here' who could perhaps start with their immediate smaller neighbours but wont and will point out BCCI for all ills everywhere.

So till about last week -about 7 days back - Mustyfizz was playing in the IPL, BD board was happy, dandy and kosher with that and also with playing in India. life was perfect!
suddenly, his IPL contract gets cancelled, Bangladesh board wake up get ants in their pants - decide India is unsafe, and do not want to play...were they sleeping for so long since the schedule was announced and they know their matches were in India?

I also feel the fizz affair should have never gone so far, maybe at the auctions stage itself a decision should have been taken.

Lastly, i feel for the good of everyone - Bangladesh matches should all be played in SL, just like Pak including if they go all the way to the finals. And yeah - there has to be a blueprint moving fwd for the matches and destinations of these three countries.

I wish ICC sided with them, why would you want a country like Bangladesh touring India they suck at the sport, no one has any interest in watching them..... Waste of space and time, wouldve much preferred them not playing in India..

It's extremly saddening to see what's happening in Cricket lately. Gone are the days when you watched cricket for entertainment, now it's just politics. It would have been really interesting to see what would have happend had Liton Das was selected to play in this IPL. Would BCCI tell IPL to kick him out too - Cause you know Hindu player vs Mustafizur, muslim player.

Also, this isn't the first time I heard or read about BD abusing their minorities, similar to what happens in India (or Pakistan). Why was there no outcry for this by my countrymen and all of a sudden it gained massive attraction? I've not been keeping tabs so asking out of curiosity - don't really see much info of it on the internet. Majority of the South Asian population from BD/PAK/IND/AFG really need to learn to use their brain a bit more. It's like most just lives day to day with their brain turned off and walking around with low IQ and oblivous to the consequence that can arise from the stupid actions they take.

But yes, I do agree with BD asking ICC to host their matches somewhere else. If the indian population is showing this much hostility, you only need couple of nutbags to cause a scene - similar to what happend to SL team back in Pak. If ICC is willing to acomodate IND/PAK then it looks stupid on their end when another team is stating security issue.
