i think the stratergy is to keep imrul in for as long as possible....first time the same strategy for both teams :misbah

Bangladesh must be sensible about this chase. They can win it, just need to keep rotating the strike. That is the key.
 
Tanim is just not sensible enough, he has again given away after a start, things looking gloomy for Bangladesh.

Its very much possible, these two must stick together for the next 10 overs.
 
136 more required from 120 balls, wickets in hand would be the key, but they should not let the required rate get too much up otherwise that would lead to collapse.

Great to see the big crowd in the stadium celebrating. For all the ridicule Zimbabwe get, I would love to see them reprise their gritty, dangerous team of the late 90s.

To be fair, Bangladesh always seem to have their best batters down the order. In the first 2 matches also they recovered from 50 for 5ish to 190. Mahmudullah and Mushy are among their batter batsmen.

Either that, or they simply don't have the technique to play the new ball.
 
Can we make the obligatory joke on how if Sachin was on 99* in this situation, he would take a single first ball of the over , and give no 11 the strike :)?

Another argument for a two tier system. I say give Ireland and Afghanistan test match and odi status, have them playing regularly with bangladesh, zimbabwe and west indies - top two teams to play against the big boys.

And give the number 11 the strike? After jarvis cleaned up rubel first ball? Mushfiqur got a length ball, the kind he's been hitting all day. I think it was worth a punt.

Not exactly. Would have exposed the tailender with a single. And with 1 wicket and 1 over left, not sure if that's an ideal solution. I reckon he needed to score through boundaries.
 
Even if he didn't want to expose the tailender he still had enough balls to go for twos, the way he did on the first ball. Certainly not wise to go in the air when there were fielders placed deep in the legside for that shot.
